Most of my comments have been from a financial perspective though. Would you bring him back if you could buy him for a tenner?

Personally don’t think there’s any chance of him returning

Interesting view , if basically on a free

Not so sure after the way he left and we do seem to be a more balanced and better side without him

We're scoring goals for fun. Naby Jones AOC and the return of Elliott hopefully in the next few months so I think we're good.

I'd be more interested in Bissouma myself decent going both ways should Milner finish up next summer.

He's not for us,we've moved beyond trying to salvage something from a career on the slide but I wonder if somebody could turn Dele Ali around?
Big talent and he's younger than Grealish which I was surprised by,because it seems like he's been around for donkey's years.

I'd like Rice. But don't think we'd spend that much.
Though we splashed out on Virgil and Alison.
    So you never know

I think I said last year Alli would be worth a punt. He's been too shit for too long now, probably beyond hope.

We already have the best defensive midfielder in the league mate. We wouldn't play Fabinho and Rice in the same 11 which would mean Rice would be a 80+ million pound understudy.

When Grealish turned his back on Ireland it took him 6 years to get a run for the English first team. He's around for donkeys years, just didn't shine on the big stage.

Moyes was saying he was a bargain at 100m but now that bargain has expired. No thanks David, we'll pass thanks

I see him more in the Hendo role.
I'm not saying we shud buy.
As I said, and I agree with Rebels post. Too expensive.
Was just saying he was a midfielder that I liked

I like him too, but he's a very good defensive midfielder or a pretty average midfielder anywhere else in our team. Henderson can do his job 10 times better than he can do Hendersons.

I wouldn’t like to see Alli signed. As others here have said, he seems to have a bad attitude, and even the best manager in the world will struggle to coach that out of him.
I like Tielemanns, think he’s a decent player.

Tielemans is top drawer and would flourish in our team amazed he only went 24 this year.

Oxlade a decent squad player however never can seem to grab his chance since the major injury.

I’d offer a sum of cash and him for Tielemans. Think he has makings of a superstar and Oxlade could be very good in Rodgers system.

Same but I suppose we dont know what went on and why but still a weird one and even more considering the injuries we have in that position now.

I saw us linked to John McGinn last summer. Thats a transfer that seems like it might have legs to it as he seem like "a Klopp midfielder".

Its probably time to move Naby Keita on at this stage. No doubting his talent but I think hes at Liverpool 4 years or so and hes never really had a consistent run of form and games.

I am praying Thiago can stay fit for a few months. Himself and Fabinho are, for me, our best midfielders and we are a much better side with them 2 in it.

I cant help but feel over the next couple of windows the midfield is probably an area that needs a little work.

Keita, Oxlade, Milner will likely move on. Henderson isnt getting any younger also. Thiago is the same and he is prone to an injury and Fabinho also has an injury in him and Jones is still young and trying to find consistency which is understandable.

I really don't see it in McGinn, he's already 27 and has only had two seasons at the top level in Villa. He's a decent solid player but below the level we should be looking for imo.

I really think we missed a trick not bringing someone in last summer. For the reasons you outlined above, we are only bringing ourselves closer to a major midfield overhaul needed when we should be doing it gradually. We are now depending on Keita and Ox to come in a do a job all too regularly when they are either not at it enough or not reliably fit enough. Milner is 36 in January and will be gone, Hendo and Thiago are 31 and 30, Thiago's injury time is worrying.

    Didnt realise McGinn was 27.

Declan Rice would be a great signing but I think he will end up at Chelsea
