    Definitely worth a squad place.
Strikes me as type of player who could be elevated with better players around him.

Yeah we need more options in midfield area and if Tielemens is genuinely going for free then i’d be all over that.
I’d hope we can get Mason Mount. I think he’s such a smart player. I watched a lot of Derby on their promotion push season and he looked outstanding. Then obviously the jump up happens and he seemed to handle it perfectly, he’s a cocky bastard but you need that.
Since then i think their lot have struggled with the usual meddling but if we can get this lad, aged 24 I believe then yeah. Yeah big time for me.
I’d be all over it. I think he will be outstanding for us. I’d have him top priority.

I like James Maddison too. Well, i mean i rate him. Don’t actually like him. He’s an irritating bastard. Much like Mount I suppose.
Honestly if we ended up buying Maddison I’d be delighted. But if you gave me the option between the pair, I think Mount is a perfect fit for us.

Mount and Maddison are going to be crazy money. The Premium you pay for English players is insane. Some of the best transfer business the club has done under Klopp has been signings that have come out of left field. Curtis Jones has thrown his hat into the ring and for me has looked more suited to the way of playing that Elliot.

Team looks well stocked up front, if Trent is going to play in midfield (not sure he will) then a few fit right back would be required. If they go down Castange from Leicester could be an option.

Mount has only a year left on his contract and Chelsea can't afford to let him see it out and leave for free next summer. If he goes it will be for well below the market rate. His wages on the other hand.......

I'd be surprised if we didnt end up with one of Mount or Maddison. We had "homegrown" problems already this season, and losing Millner and Chamberlin and then Kelleher and Phillips rumoured to be wanting moves we are struggling to make the 8 homegrown players which allows us to register a 25 man squad.
Curtis Jones qualifies for this years 8 but we are still short.

Anyways I would prefer Maddison of the two, but that may only be because Mount is a Chelsea player and my irrational hatred of all things Chelsea may well be clouding my view

If I could have any midfielder (reasonably expected to be available) it's be Barella

I reckon we would consider Maddison if there was an outbreak of a deadly disease and he was the only survivor. Other than that, I can't see it.

Agreed, suits as a link player with a direct forward. Good at through balls and great from set pieces but does not seem like a ‘presser’

The soundbites are that Poch will prioritise keeping Mount at Chelsea. He's a player I'd have all day but if Poch comes in and explains his project it'd be tough to get him imo. He's right up Pochs street so he'll be pushing Boehly to throw more stupid money around.
