Yates's in Queens Square have a big screen as far as I know. Bierkeller have a number of big sized screens too but don't know what it'd be like for a game.
The two newish pubs facing Central Station have massive screens take up the whole wall, Lana Ghana and the Irish house.
Failing I get tickets where would be the best spot to look at the game ? Also is it a typically dear city ?
AS the match is on sky, all pubs will be showing it. O'Neills has loads of tv, but drink is dear enough. I would say Liverpool is not far of Dublin prices in city centre when you convert it. Pints 3.50-4 stg which is a 5 euro or so. If you are over early in day, ONeills can be a place where you can pick up face value spares as some lad had missed his flights or forgot his passport. Was in there Saturday morning about 10 and lads were getting sorted at face value
Fair play for that. I'll stick my head into it on the morning of the game I'm going to be there from the Friday anyway. Worst comes to the worst I'll watch in the likes of o Neills. I've never been over before and I'll be happy man to just be there. I'll just have to sort my shit better for the future. Thanks again
Same here Gerry, I can't see why all the Irish reds want to go there, go somewhere else. Worst part of town to get a cab up to the ground with traffic galore.
It's a spot that attracts stags and the like. The grub is much better than the likes of Weatherspoons for breakie although is more expensive. If I am over and back same day would hardly ever be in it although if the over for the weekend with a group of lads would end up in it at least once. There is similar one in Newcastle, Glasgow and London so think it's a brand thing they have created and people get drawn to them.
Best Breakfast in town is in Shiraz it's by the water display thing and Paddy Power. William Square. It's like a production line in there so everything cooked is straight on yer plate 2 bacon, 2 sausage, black pudding, mushrooms, tomatoes, beans, egg, hash brown and 2 toast. Also includes your mug of tea or coffee.
Yeah true, the last time I was on a stag over there we were in it starting off on the Saturday and it was packed to the gills, personally don't really like it it feels small enough.
There was defo one in Cardiff too a few years back when we were down there nearly every year for cup finals, not sure if it's still there. Shiraz is spot on btw.
You can get a bottle in there with breakfast as far as i'm aware pal. We usually have a breakfast and a cold one before the train from Lime Street.
I got food poisoning from Shiraz before Wasn't drinking that day either before anyone says it was the gargle
The last day I was over I heard a story that o Neil's management refused to put up jft96 posters in the bar, anyone know if that's true, as I personally will never darken its doors again if true.
Haven't heard that to be honest but I don't see what the massive attraction with O'Neills is in general. Standard Irish pub where the drink is more expensive than other places in town as far as i'm concerned.
