Started watching Blood on Netflix last night. Promising start. It’s based on true events around Montreal. Tiggy from Sons of Anarchy is main character.
Not sure if it has been mentioned here before but designated survivor is a serious show. Starts off a bit mad but bare with it... Its kind of similar to House of Cards but has far more action and its all on Netflix.
started watching the sopranos a while ago, flew through series 1 but then went away from it for a while. back watching series 2 now, this Richie character who just got out of jail is very good. looking forward to watching the rest of it, haven't heard 1 person over the years say it's bad.
Unreal show Willie. Would love to be watching it back again not knowing what happened. Watched a few 20 year cast reunion things on YouTube last weekend. Mad stories how some of them got on the show. The guy who played Silvio never acted before and was in E Street band before it. Very interesting fella in real life
Just getting around to Bodyguard now, really good as well, I'm half way through. My cynicism for cop dramas is fading a bit. This and Line of Duty have a bit of grit about them
The Boys is really good. Not into superhero stuff but it's a different take on it. Would recommend it. From Amazon.
Dark (show title). Mrs and I are hooked to it. Its foreign but the dubbing on it is excellent and you get over that very quickly. All about children going missing in a small town. I dont want to spoil it but there is much more to it than that which you will quickly see. Havent been hooked on a show in a while, we are really enjoying it.
Two episodes in myself, it looks as good as line of duty so far, same people made both as far as I know.
'The Loudest Voice' is a good watch, Russell Crowe plays Roger Ailes the former boss of fox news and each episode is based on a year in Ailes life setting up and running fox news and the lead up to Trump's election. "Based on the best-selling book "The Loudest Voice" by Gabriel Sherman, TV executive and media consultant Roger Ailes' life continues to be a source of interest to many due the lasting effect he has had on the media world. Primarily focusing on the past decade when Ailes arguably became the Republican Party's de facto leader, and defining events in Ailes' life, including experiences with world leaders that helped launch Ailes' political career and the sexual harassment accusations and settlements that brought his Fox News reign to an end." 'Berlin Station' is another one I watched recently that I thought was good. "Transitioning from his job as a CIA analyst in the U.S., cerebral officer Daniel Miller's new mission puts him under cover at the agency's Berlin branch, tasked with sorting out messy cases involving damaging leaks, whistle-blowers, terrorism and more. Mentored by jaded veteran officer Hector DeJean, Daniel learns the disorderly world of field work means dealing with deception, danger and moral compromises. As he dives deeper into the German capital's hall of mirrors and discovers conspiracies that lead back to Washington, D.C., he wonders if anyone can ever be the same after a posting to Berlin."
Absolutely worth a watch, you could end up binge watching it over the weekend. Has a unique talk to the audience style to it.
