Absolutely no chance you’ll lose your credits mate. No stipulation to buy a membership every year. You just need to be a member to buy tickets not retain credits.
Liverpool FC has today provided further information regarding season ticket renewals for the 2021-22 campaign. Season ticket renewals open from Wednesday April 7 and must be completed by Monday May 24, 2021 Supporters can spread the cost of their 2021-22 season ticket using the finance option Fans unable to attend during 2021-22 can request a one-year season ticket holiday Ticket Exchange can be used for individual games, with 100 per cent of value refunded Fans can transfer to friends and family for individual matches Mobile tickets will be used for stadium entry Season ticket holders subject to the same qualifying criteria as Members for Auto Cup Scheme Supporters who currently hold a season ticket will be able to renew their ticket from Wednesday April 7 in preparation for the start of the 2021-22 season. All renewals must be completed by Monday May 24. During the 2020-21 season, the renewal of season tickets was temporarily suspended due to the majority of games being played behind closed doors as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. The club will be offering supporters the option of spreading the cost of their 2021-22 season ticket via V12 Finance at a zero per cent interest rate; there will be a 3.95 per cent admin fee. Fans can also request to take a one-year season ticket holiday should they be unable to attend Anfield during the 2021-22 season. Supporters can also use the Ticket Exchange during the 2021-22 season, should they be unable to attend particular Premier League games for any reason. They will receive 100 per cent of the value of the season ticket on a pro rata basis. Alternatively, fans can also transfer their seat to up to six named individuals within their Friends and Family members network, should they be unable to attend individual games. More details about this transfer process can be found in the latest FAQs. Season ticket holders will be subject to the same qualifying criteria as Members to enrol in the club’s Auto Cup Scheme. This will ensure a much fairer process for all supporters who would like to attend home cup matches. As our participation in the 2019-20 cup competitions was completed in its entirety, we will be using the game history from that season to help allocate access to the Auto Cup Scheme for the 2021-22 season. Please note, we will not be allocating credits for games purchased during the 2021-22 season for use in future seasons; game history will only be used within the 2021-22 season to allocate tickets as we progress through the competitions. The club will be using NFC (Near Field Communication) technology for stadium entry for the new season, which means season tickets will be digital and only available on a smart mobile phone. More information will be made available on this process over the coming weeks. Phil Dutton, vice president, ticketing and hospitality, said: “The day when we are able to welcome supporters back into Anfield is approaching and as a club we want to be as prepared for this moment as we possibly can. “This is the first step on what we sincerely hope will be the road back to normality, with the issuing of season ticket renewals and the confirmation of a number of positive changes, which will be incorporated into both the renewals process itself and the matchday experience. “As a club, we fully recognise the challenges that our supporters will continue to face in the current period, which is why we have introduced season ticket holidays for the first time. This will hopefully provide comfort and peace of mind to those fans who are unable to attend during the upcoming season or do not feel ready to do so. “An interest-free finance option is also available, and we have taken the additional steps of introducing a friends and family scheme and increasing the refund value of tickets re-sold on the Ticket Exchange to 100 per cent. “Further details on how the friends and family scheme and the Ticket Exchange will operate will be made available in the coming weeks. There will also be more information on the rollout of NFC tickets, which will support the changes outlined, at the same time as improving stadium access and the ticket sales processes. “We will continue to work with all key stakeholders ahead of the start of next season and we hope that all of our supporters are as excited as we are at the prospect of being back at Anfield. That day can’t come soon enough.” The safety of all those in attendance at Anfield next season will remain important and the supporters’ charter ensures that everyone is aware and agrees to uphold the safety conditions while attending games. It doesn't specify, and I couldn't find in FAQs, but I presume transfering tickets to a friend or family member within the 6 names list will also transfer the credit? And I presume a very similar process will be installed for members?
Please note, we will not be allocating credits for games purchased during the 2021-22 season for use in future seasons; game history will only be used within the 2021-22 season to allocate tickets I would imagine like you say the process will be very similar for members
I was referring to the future, not the 2021-22 season. I imagine this new system is being set up as a long term plan, not just for one season. There has been talk of a new set up to remove touting since before Covid-19 happened.
Was thinking the other day more than ever they are going To want to know who exactly is in the stadium. Access will be via phone and you will need to transfer to someone else and they will get the credit. Was heading this way anyway but with Covid for health reasons they will stress it has to be named person.
Interesting. I have 2 cards. One in my own name and another in my nephews name but its really my brothers card as I couldnt remember his login when I was renewing. I wonder if I rang them and explained to them would they switch it. I just wouldnt want a situation where they wont let him into the ground or something after travelling. Its his email and date of birth on the account just a different name on the card. My nephew was only born when we done it and is only 10 now.
I’d wait and see what happens. Did you not have to complete the fan upload thing before the lockdowns?
Cards will be a thing of the past going forward As it stands at the minute STH can have up to 6 friends and family for league games and can transfer as many times as they want for league games in season 21/22 but going forward that is to be reviewed with the widely held view that there will be limits on this the following season. As it stands all cup related games cannot be transferred to F&F therefore you either go to the game or sell it back to the club. Either way unless you physically attend the game you get the credit or you don't go and you don't receive the credit. There is still heavy discussion going on in relation to this as far as I know so there is still some possibility of a u-turn by the club but not likely at the minute. This info above relates to STH and you have to assume it will be similar for members when they make their announcement on member sales. The one difference I think is happening with members is any transfer to F&F in league games the credit is going to pass to that person. I think what everyone needs to realise is that the tech is now there to be able clarify who is actually attending the game and that the person attending is the one likely to get the loyalty. So removing the false loyalty & touting is going to be the focus and like all things it's going to have an impact on genuine fans who regularly go but miss the odd game. They are still planning and preparing so as I said there maybe some tweaks to this but this is were it is at at the minute.
I havent heard anything on aways Gary but I think you can assume with NFC going in to other English clubs it will eventually come into effect. I also suspect something will happen with Euro aways too. I think the strategy is to deflate the credit system in order to stop touting and credit hunting and to spread the ticket allocation to those who are buying with the intention of actually going.
Get your brother to buy a membership in his name and just pass the games onto him when u buy on your nephew's card and he's no problem. I think the new way should reduce the amount of games you need ie 13 to be guaranteed a ticket in future years. Go min13 games and it won't really effect you. In fact it's easier to get your money back for games you don't go to as you don't have to worry about passing cards, it getting lost, spot check at turnstiles etc.
No to familiar with NFC but could we see cheap phones been passed around rather than tickets or how exactly does it work?
I think eventually they hope to use some form of facial recognition also Well that was certainly the talk at one time.
Did many off here not renew this season ? I've the aways on mine but didn't renew so will they use away credits from the season 19/20 to sell game's next season?.
So looks like they are now going to allow f&F pass on for next season in cup games. Credits next year won't be used for season 22/23 but they will be used for any cup finals in 21/22. 22/23 season to be based on credits from 18/19 for league games an 19/20 for cup games and it looks like the strict rules around credits will come into effect in season 22/23. You'd think they would have this all boxed off by now considering they had very little to do all last season. Also vaccine passports are going to be a thing when the ground opens up to larger crowds as in full capacity.
Cheers Liam. If that’s the case on the league credits Id be happy because I reckon be tough for us to get over as much next season as we seem 6 months behind on the vaccine front.
