Just back from West Cork. Did a spot off whale watching and the rings of both peninsulas. Stunning part of the country Looks like we got out and back just in time.
Booked Santorini for the end of May with Ryanair. €150 return for 2 before the extras, the value is unreal, missus has always wanted to go and prices were 5 or 6 times that and they included stop overs. I could pick up a decent hotel for less than the flights would have cost before Ryanair opened a route there.
I just realised I posted less than 3 months ago I had planned on staying at home next year to avoid stress of cancellation etc. Amazing what an Irish November can do to you.
We've put off booking this year, I genuinely don't think travel abroad will open up enough by the summer. Unless they get the finger out massively with the vaccines!
Yeah we are just going to book a few weeks around Ireland during the summer. Booked a few houses already. Some great value to be had at the moment
I spent a week in Dingle this year that turned into almost two weeks and it was an absolutely fantastic holiday, I did not feel short changed at all and I'm usually big into getting some sun. Don't think of it as a hindrance that you can't go abroad, think of it as an opportunity to explore some more of Ireland.
I’d say the likes of Daft would be the best as you just select holiday homes. Probably AIRBnB would be another decent site too. Although you would want to be booking down, as the prices down here in Rosslare for the summer are nuts already. I’ve seen 4 bed houses going for over 2k a week and most houses are booked up already so if you are looking at some where by the sea, you would want to hurry.
The passport office closing is crazy, why are they so different..? its causing huge issues for so many people
Down in Lahinch next week for the week. Never been down that end. Anyone know of any pubs that might have an outdoor screen to watch a bit of the Euros?
Lahinch is a gorgeous spot. One of my favourites. I'd imagine Flanagan's or Kenny's would have sorted something for the euros. The cobblestone usually good for food. All the pubs are good though. Egan's down the road in Liscannor is a cracking pint of Guinness. Liscannor is lovely too. Enjoy
