Other than players Chelsea don’t gain anything. It’s losses galore when it comes to bottom line. I just understand their model.
Boehly is going down the same route he went at the Dodgers, which because transfer fees are such a big part of football and wages are guaranteed for the whole length of the contract, I think makes it almost impossible to have the same level of success with it as in baseball. If people have shown me they're clever,or at least haven't shown me they're fuckin morons, then I'll always assume there's a big chance something that looks stupid to me, probably isn't as stupid as it looks,I'm just missing something or not aware of information that explains it. Im struggling with that logic here though, simply because no other club has gone that route. Yes clubs have cheated like fuck, but they've gone to huge lengths to hide that cheating. If it's just as simple as what Chelsea are doing, then why didn't the cheating clubs just go that route?
Situation with Gabriel very strange at Arsenal. A sub for first 3 of their games despite injuries and suspensions back there. Would be a quality signing for any team
Reported on LiveScore that Citeh have sold Cole Palmer to Chelsea and bought Matheus Nunes from Wolves. Probably explains why we stopped looking at Nunes for our midfield. Looks like Citeh's policies for getting around FFP are working.
I see Pavard went to Inter for €32 million, looks like a good deal to me, would have liked us to get him.
Was looking through the ins and outs of various PL Clubs. Newcastle stood out as a club who given they are in Champions League, they didn’t really splash the cash. Tonali was a big price, but Barnes and Livermento were bought from relegated clubs. A few other small fry signings plus Hall on loan from Chelsea. they got cash in for Wood and Saint Maximilian. Not exactly Mbappe and Neymar level signings. Saw it mentioned elsewhere but with the Saudi league taking off it makes you wonder how invested the boys will be in Newcastle long term.
Timo Werner to Spurs on loan with an option to buy, suppose its pretty risk free and a low option to buy price.
Think he is mainly cover for Son while he is away. Good opportunity for him but based on his Chelsea days, he won’t take it
Lad is sorted for life with the wages he has earned at United already. Interesting to see if bounces back.
