Shamrock Rovers paired with Hibernians of Malta in Champions League https://www.rte.ie/sport/soccer/202...ed-with-hibernians-of-malta-in-champions-lge/
A very good draw for shamrock, on and off the pitch. Went to Malta in 2009 following pats and it was brilliant.
Big weekend of ball ahead, first up Bohs at home on Friday night then a trip to Pats on Monday night - looking forward to both games and catching up with the lads
Cannot wait for this book. He's fucking great. Grew up with my uncle's and father in law and is some craic. Won a double with Bohs and relegated Rovers, what more can ye ask for.
Saw a piece on the indo site last night saying Bradsers son is getting some form of treatment in hospital. Best of luck to the young lad As important as football is there's always reminders of the really important things Family is everything.
Absolutely- feck football, I’ll be there as usual tonight but thoughts completely with Stephen, his son and family.
Fucking hell, had assumed something was up when he wasn't there last week. Hope the little fella overcomes whatever battle he is facing. Football quickly becomes irrelevant.
I’m away the first two weeks in July when the champions league home game versus Hibernians is on the 5th, if any hoop wants to go I have an adult and child season ticket available to access and buy tickets if anyone wants them - there were a couple of hundred left in the south stand last I checked
RTÉ Sport will show Shamrock Rovers' Champions League opener against Maltese champions Hibernians FC next month. The fixture will take place at Tallaght Stadium on 5 July, with a kick-off time of 7.30pm. Peter Collins will present the coverage. The Hoops were seeded for the draw, with Hibernians the weakest side on paper that the Tallaght club could have drawn. Stephen Bradley will be hoping to steer his side to progress in a two-legged Champions League tie for the first time in 11 years.
Bohs the far better side so far. Looked a cowards challenge on lyons Need to see it again. I'll withdraw that accusation
Rovers nowhere near their best.bohs excellent first half but didn't create anything of note for their dominance in the first half. Bohs very naive at times second half. Some tasty tackles and rovers lucky with the kavanagh yellow early on Thought it was a red myself.
Important win especially with Dundalk dropping points - great spectacle at the end in front of the south stand, roll on Monday night !
I was in Tallaght tonight. Really enjoyed it. Great set up. Rovers have a great squad and play good football. Bohs are a very young team but try to play nice football as well.
Burke wasn't playing?? Bohs very good but all style no substance, lack the threat with no Georgie or Dinny up top. Happy with the performance just beaten by a better side. Rovers very like the dominant Dundalk side. Men against boys in terms of game management. Need the 1st of July to come asap 3 lads in the stand waiting to play and we have a striker signed too apparently so hopefully a more consistent second half to the season. Great crowd in Tallaght.
