Brother is a pilot with Ryanair and his base is in Cork. Got told today it won’t be opening up again before November at the earliest but they think it will be next next when Ryanair starts flying out of there again.
Got a gift voucher as a present year and a half ago had used it for flights to games when they cancelled they refunded these to the voucher which had only 1 year from time of purchase as the expiry they told me then there was nothing they could do mentioned that this was against the law in Ireland that gift vouchers are valid for 5 years from point of purchase long behold received a new one by email for use by dec 2025, just incase anyone found themselves in a similar situation.
Ye my brother is also, based out of Dublin and he has barely worked the last 18 months or so. 2020 he got his holiday for Feb and hasnt done anything since then. 2019 he got November off
Does anyone know if the passport card is still acceptable when checking in. It wouldn't work for me but used the normal passport and it went through. There's still a few years on the expiry and I've never had any issues with it before.
Wouldn’t accept it for me on check in either mate but accepted normal passport …but pointless getting the card for travelling when I can’t use it
Hopefully it's just a temporary glitch and it will be fixed in due course. I'm flying Aer Lingus next week so will try it again.
Has anybody got a flight to Liverpool or Manchester Saturday morning they are not useing that I could change the name Thanks
Anyone know if Manchester airport is now terminal one or two when flying back to Dublin with Ryanair please? Thanks.
It was Terminal 1 on Saturday evening Niall. Security was busy but eased once they opened up a few more lanes.
I was a little surprised to find out this morning that Ryanair no longer accept the passport card when traveling to the UK. Looks like it's fine to use on the return. Also for anyone using Gatwick Airport Ryanair now use the North Terminal although not sure if it's just temporary or not.
That's mad. I don't even know what drawer in the house I've left the old passport I always used the card
Ryanair banning customers that used chargeback for refund during pandemic unless they pay back the illegal refund!! Can't be any legal basis for this?
I think they are looking to ban passengers who requested a chargeback for flights that actually operated. They are claiming that the service was provided and that the passengers had no right to a refund if they chose not to board.
That seems the case alright. One thing to note is they are taking the impacted passengers future bookings and cash. Then raising the issue at checkin, which means they have you by the proverbials.
Yeah see to me that's just denial of boarding so due compensation as per EU regulations. If they didn't let them book it's one thing, that's a pisstake.
Just do another charge back. I know it's happening at check in and you are fucked as regards that flight.
