Can't believe England have called Emile up, they really are down to the bare bones. 5 goals in 50 odd caps. Wonder will they start him and Owen up front!! Houllier would be proud:D

I never realised his scoring record was so bad. It might prove to be a good thing for Owen and I don't see what else they can do now that Shrek is out injured. I still think they will struggle in both games next week and have an awful lot of work to do to qualify.

I actually expected him to get a call-up. He's the only even slightly in form striker at the moment who's playing regularly, what with all the injuries and players just coming back etc.

I doubt he'll be in the squad again after this double header.

In form?? has he even scored this season?
He's only in 'cos Owen likes him as a strike partner

Did fairly well last night. His goalscoring record has never been good but the stats show that england have scored a lot of goals in the games that Heskey and Owen have played together

Played very well yesterday. On his day, in the right frame of mind, he's unplayable. Bit like Drogba. I think Rafa said in "A season on the Brink", that he was happy you keep him, but that the deal was already done while Houllier was at the club. We'll never know, but I'd love to know how that could,ve turned out.

    Anyway, happy for the lad.

Heskey was good on Saturday, but he surely won't start ahead of Crouch on Wednesday. Will he...?
