Should be 3 points but with Sunderland getting spanked over the weekend and with them been at home they could be up for a scrap. But an early goal should put them back in there box.

I am going for us to win 2:0.

with the complete shambles of a match against chelsea, another away game for us.

Usually after a champs league match or international duty we seem to struggle. Hopefully we can overcome this and beat sunderland esp since most of their players will have a week off.

Tough match but I wouldn't see anything but a liverpool win really.

2 nil to us. voronin and yossi to get the goals.

I hope Kean Plays York in center midfield again,if he does our lads will run a muck.

There were at least 3 if not 4 valid peno claims against them on Sat, hope they maintain that form ! :)

I know we all feel slighted by the robbery yesterday but we seem to have momentum on the pitch and all know we should be sitting on 2 wins out of 2. We've outplayed the chavs yet again, have got the away monkey off our back early doors (very important that we scored twice as well) and Torres won't be have that dreaded waiting for his first goal nervousness going on. Rafa will be keen to keep this good feeling going. The bigger problem will be the big gap for the two competitive internationals soon after.

Really looking forward to my first league away and seeing Torres and Babel (who has won a starting place in my book) in the flesh. Looking at their defending on Sat Torres will tear them apart if they do the same but they prob won't and will be easier to be UP for a big team and might have a hometown ref. I had to laugh this morning hearing that McShane and Elliot are on the internation injury list............Keano true to form.

LOL : Just realised Elliot not there anymore, where did he move to after ?

Think Keane loaned him to his good mate Mick at Wolves, open to correction on that

I would fully expect us to take the game to Sunderland on Saturday. They will be in our faces leaving the foot in etc but quality should shine through in the end. Would like to see Masch in for Xabi and Babel in for Arbeloa (Riise shifting back to LB) with Pennant and Stevie continuing on their strong starts to the season.

The international break and early KO on Sat means less time for Rafa to have the lads tactically drilled for the game but I'm sure if we score in the first half, we will have no problems containing a weak Sunderland midfield.

I'll take a 2-0 Kuyt and Babel keeping our momentum going

I agree that we should be a little worried seeing as its an away game a few days after internationals, but if we play like we've being playing so far then I'll have no worries. This is the biggest test Sunderland will face since Roy Keane took over, and I fully expect them to fail miserably. 3-0 to the Redmen.

We have far too much quality for them ,but I think id like to get momo or masch in there. Alonso looked sluggish and it will be a battle field in their midfield. I reckon masch would impose himself and take no s@&t from them.

Would it be worth starting crouch??

I think starting Crouch should be a definite for this game, however whether he starts or not could be determined by how long he is on the pitch for England on Wednesday night. Remember when Rafa first bought him and said how we needed a basketball type player up front for particular games - when I think this is one of those games he was referring to.

If we can get through this game with the three points I think it bodes well for the season ahead.

With stevie more onus will be on Alonso to get forward like to stevie does if Mascherano is brought into the starting lineup or he could Benayoun in the centre with Alonso. As long as we take 3 points i'l be happy. Any Predictions? I will go for Torres to score and Liverpool win 2-0 with Babel playing from the start.

I pretty much want to win this one as much as the bitters or the mancs and hopefully it leads to the demise of funderland's league campaign! :D

As said we are far too good for them and its games like these that we have not shown up for on previous occasions, hopefully we do this time and if we do we can put a few past them!

You know something, I think I agree. Despite being from the Rebel county, and only too happy to see another Cork man succeed, this whole Sunderland phenomenon thats taken over the country has gotten a little too much. A 3-0 hammering, nothing less will do! :D
