Absolutely fantastic. Looking forward to it already. Edit: Hope I make my 6.30am flight to Brum on the Sun morn. Haven't missed one yet this season, but Im sure there'll be someone there to drag me to the airport in the morn. I certainly wont be missing Pam's Night anyway
And remember regarding the sponsorship that Gerry mentioned - nothing is too small. Even if people can get something that could be put in for the raffle - it all goes to a very worthwhile cause.
i'll be trawling the tickets and travel thread over the next few days, anyone who went on any of the trips that Pam ran over the last few years can expect a pm. If Ye can't make it on the night that's fair enough, the least Ye can do is buy a non attendance ticket. Pam has been there for all of us plenty of times in the past,it's time for all of us to be there for her lads...
I will be there and making sure any of my mates who have benefited from Pam's generousity and assistance over the years will be too.
Anyone who has ever been part of the Irishkop community will know Pam and know of the work shes done not only to get us all to the match but her tireless efforts for the HJC and Anne Williams. I look forward to been there for the best red i have ever known.
I will definately be supporting this, hopefully in person. The amount of people from IK and beyond including myself she has gone out of her way to help in the past. I hope and am sure this night will get the support and attendence Pam deserves.
Remember if anyone can help with any sponsporship from Work or anything please pm me as this would help reduce costs!
Best of luck with this lads. I'll try to chip in as much as I can too. Hope it gets a great response.
Of all the things we have ever done on Irish Kop and we have done many there is one name that stands out a million times more than anybody else and that's Pam Martin. Everyone on here knows her and if you don't know her you have been living on mars. She has gone out of her way so many times to make sure us Liverpool fans can get to a game without been fleeced. She has sorted Liverpool tickets for countless people on here. She is one of the first people I ever spoke to from Irish Kop. It's now time for us to show her that we appriciate all she has done for our little community and get out for this night and let her know she's not walking alone!
Great idea. I'll try me best to see can I organise something by way of prizes from clients etc. Will do me best.
I'm pretty sure I can get my hands on 2 All Ireland Final hurling tickets, (Canal End)taking place Sep 4th. I'll pay for the tickets and donate them to the benefit night. What would be the best way of running a raffle/auction to raise the most money possible from them? If I could provide the tickets would somebody else be willing to run the auction side of things as I'll be up to me eyes with me wedding in September? Just a suggestion.
I am away that weekend but i will see can i get a donation from my job and i will buy a non attendance ticket.
Reverse auction would be the best way to go but I don't know if there'd be enough interest on irishkop. Maybe if boards.ie allowed us to run the auction through their gaa forum it might raise a lot more money? Just a suggestion. Fair play by the way mate..
I was thinking the interest might not be great on this site. I'll have a think about it, I might be able to get a client to buy them. Would save the hassle of the auction. Whatever works best.
