Ancelotti might be the safer bet and less risk and push us into the top 4 but I want a manager I believe can bring back the passion and win us the title and Imo that's Klopp even if it's more risky it could go pear shaped But I'm more excited he can bring the success we want
Very worried as to who is making the decision to appoint the new manager. People saying Klopp... I'd be happy with that but I have a horrible feeling they will go down the FSG idea of promoting potential talent - i.e A yes man..... I'd take Simeone if I could have anyone...
Klopp. Just don't think we'll get either him or Ancelotti for some reason. Think it could be De Boer.... please not.
If its between klopp or de boar hope it's klopp. With his reputation and status he holds more weight in regards to getting what he wants i.e abolishing the transfer committee
Agreed but he clearly had the second best squad in 2 horse race and they finished 7th. Think he would be a great fit though, this is just my only concern.
Hey also, won it twice and got to the Champions league final and was unlucky to lose it. between him and De Boer no contest
I think it's a difficult position to fill on a long term basis! The fifth wealthiest club in England with a history and expectations of being the best in Europe is always going to be a mismatch! The hope is that the new manager can get champions league football on a regular basis and maybe a cup trophy or two!
Yes I know that's one of the reasons I want him hired because of his success, just stating why i have a slight concern over him
I'd prefer Ancelotti if we give him money and the power to pick his own players to sign.....Or maybe Klopp and Stevie G as assistant player manager??
I personally will be worried because I don't think the manager we may need is available but if we could get Conte or stepping down DeBoer I wouldn't be too upset because I feel our only true way forward as a club with relatively limited resources is through a youth policy and academy. Both of these deliver on that front along with passion and success.
A few people mentioning Dortmund last season, they're 2nd so far this season. Also, the fans love him which says it all really.
Ancelloti is the safer choice. Although I cant see him having much of a connection with the fans you have to look at his managerial record. He has succeeded at almost every club he has been at. Out of Chelsea's 8 managers in between the two mourinhos era he was the only one who provided the league title. They scored 103 goals that season with a strike force of Drogba and Anelka. He came into Milan when they were struggling and built them into a powerhouse reaching 3 european cup finals. Klopp would become a legend in Liverpool straight away but he's only ever managed in the Bundesliga. It's a whole other ball game in the premier league
Interesting points. Would Ancelotti want to come here? Also Klopp is younger more energetic and has more to prove.
