It's a bollox, I'd love to see them in a cup final as well but i totally get his stance.

He wants a break himself too, they're human, it's high pressure stuff and they need a break same as the rest of us.

I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't, Klopp would treat them the same as Mane or Salah.
Maybe they'll be given option? I presume they'd want to play

Dey fully deserved the draw tbf even if da officals showed why var was brought into the PL with that mare of a peno decesion. Delighted klopp has taken a stand against the FA and deyre stupid fixture, its either a winter break or its not, its like a punishment if you dont get through typical stupid planning. Not too bothered about the FA cup this yr anyway we have bigger fish to fry.

I'm a little bit confused here now, there's actually merit in some of our senior players coming back who could do with minutes on the pitch and clearly aren't in desperate need of time off. Is Klopp saying that he wouldn't even go this far and that it's just a total blanket restriction on all senior players? Adrian, Elliot, Lallana Origi and surely some others might want to play too just to get minutes which he'll surely consider.

Lovers and Matip were as rusty as the tin man and there’s others who need games

From what he says it sound like it's across the board no senior team players will play. Right or wrong that's what it looks like.

He doing exactly what they want.. but nothing stopping him using some of the players as tonight again, especially with people coming back from injuries.
I referenced Spurs and Southampton, they certainly ain't gonna put out u23's in replay. Obviously klopp is using this as a 2 finger salute to the fa.
It's been to long since we where in Wembley for final and especially Winning a final.thats why I'm annoyed

If it's down to meticulous planning not being interfered with then I'll defer to Klopp on whether it's the right thing to do. We can all have our opinions on who needs games or whatever but him and his staff know what's best for how we manage our training programme. I feel sorry for Shrewsbury because they've earned their replay and deserve a bigger payday than they'll get if we put out the kids, but Jurgen Klopps responsibility is to us. If its him taking a stand then I'd rather he didn't and got us into the next round of the cup.

Can we not do both in May? 16 point lead at moment in League with game in hand

Definitely they do but unless it's not wanting to treat certain players differently etc..

Honestly seems ridiculous when certain senior players need games , give the players the choice who need games and give Klopp the night off

Seems Klopp is more making a statement to the FA

He wants his players to have a break... He sees them as humans who worked all over xmas without a break. This week was pencilled in as a break since last april.

    He's giving them a break.
Id love to win a double or treble too but I get his thinking.

I was never in any doubt that making a stand was part of his thinking, but as long as it also due to the first reason too then I'll trust his judgement.

I'll trust the managers judgement in the situation that now arises as a result of the draw today. However it has surprised me.
