Ya but if it works then why not. If they won't accept video replays then this might be the next best thing. Just like umpires in GAA i presume
I think its definetly a step in the right direction. Video technology will have to come in at some stage but this is a start
this all sounds good on paper but what if the 2 extra officials disagree on something. what happens if these 2 and the linesmen thinks its a pen and the referee doesnt, does it come down to a vote? Bring in the VT and be done with it, its going to happen sooner or later when this doesnt work
I like the way it is at the moment, if there was video there wouldn't be any talking points after game like I should been a penalty, I just perfer it like it is at the moment and Chelsea would of been in the final if there was replays
Current Rule book says the ref has the final say, dont see why it should change. Ref's know it will a team effort, thus if the lino and the box ref think its a pen, I can see the ref going with their opinion as they possibly could have a better view for a giving incident. Good idea.
