Dublin and the East coast do not get anything like the amount of rainfall that we get in Wesht. It has always been the case.
This is very true, Dublin airport gets the lowest amount of rainfall in the country I think its about half what the west gets.
It was mental today, I'd a meeting near home this morning so I dropped the kids off at school and it was a belter, still was after the meeting I headed to Navan then and it was like a monsoon over there.
I read somewhere (can't remember where right now) that the area around Sutton through Baldoyle and up to around Portmarnock is the driest part of Dublin, and indeed Ireland. Thats were I live so I am happy with that. I also remember reading something about a little micro climate on the hill of howth well more sutton, on the south facing area as they look south over Dublin bay they get great sun and can grow mad plants there.
Putting aside the misery that the rain brings..... Is it just me, or has it been a lot colder over the last 24-48 hours ?
You could take the odd week like this is you could get the weather we had last week every couple of weeks, the problem is that could have been our summer.
It's been a good summer so far, this must be the third or fourth good spell and it's only mid July. But I guarantee you come October people will have forgot and be moaning that we never get a good summer.
Was out in Howth today. Was impossible to get a parking space. Great country when the weather is good
Frightening what's happened in the Caribbean and what's forecasted for Florida. I see Aer Lingus went 5 hours early outwards and inwards to and from Orlando today.
