If Hendo is out would be great if Matip was available so Fabinho could be pushed into midfield along side Gini. Not into a Gini-Milner duo.
Only 8 days since Henderson played against City so he won't have lost his match fitness. If he trained today he'll have obviously been doing low impact cardio for a few days too. Can't see any reason why he won't be available tomorrow.
Pretty sure he got promoted with Fulham last season then they ditched him. He looked a bit dodgy so far from some MOTD highlights i've seen. Could be a good tactic just piling in on him like we did vs Spurs earlier this year. Vorm was in goal, I loved how we targeted that.
Seen a stat somewhere recently that suggests we are actually the most prolific team from set pieces this season so I'm not as worried about Brighton as I would have been a few seasons back. If we score early it will make life a lot easier today, they will go into the game probably with 1 up front thinking that 0-0 is a good result however, so we might have to be patient.
: Alisson, Robertson, Van Dijk, Fabinho, Alexander-Arnold, Henderson, Wijnaldum, Shaqiri, Mane, Salah, Firmino Subs: Mignolet, Milner, Keita, Moreno, Origi, Matip, Camacho
There are nine changes for Liverpool at Brighton and Hove Albion this afternoon. Jordan Henderson is fit to start in midfield after a knock, while Joel Matip is named on the bench. Daniel Sturridge misses out due to a virus. Liverpool: Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Fabinho, Van Dijk, Robertson, Wijnaldum, Henderson, Shaqiri, Mane, Salah, Firmino. Subs: Mignolet, Milner, Keita, Moreno, Origi, Matip, Camacho.
Strong team, vvd can hopefully manage Fabinho through the game but I'm hoping they'll have little to do.
So the team I saved for. Come on reds! The bench looks a bit light. Could definitely do with a player or two.
