Originally wanted Leeds to come up for the absolute battles they'd have with united but when they were knocked out I was hoping villa would come up. Will Fat Frank stay with Derby now?

I hope arsenal win tonight . I’d rather play them in the super cup next season.

Can't believe anyone's thinking about any game other than the one on Saturday.
Particularly a game that, Fowler forbid, we may not even be involved in.

Very confident about Saturday. We will win and we will play the super cup against Chelsea by the looks of it

David Pleat just said Iwobi is a hard worker but doesn't score goals...30 secs later bang!

3-1 to Chelsea now...game will hopefully be end to end

Atmosphere is the worst I've ever seen in a final of any description. It's like one of those international preseason tournaments in America.

I think if we where there or on the moon for that matter we would fill it
But in fairness uefa made a complete cunt of this final out there

There is absolutely no way there was over 51 thousand people in that stadium last night. None at all. Maybe if they counted people twice they'd have gotten close to it.

One (of the many) picture taken during the game has a section of Arsenal supporters, and I counted seats and asses.
The section has 220 seats and 24 people in it.
    51k my rear end.

Thought Gary Linekar made one very salient point too on his twitter feed...

"You travel all that way to watch a European final and when you sit in your seat you’re not much closer to the pitch than when you left home."

Most of the fans would have needed binoculars to watch the game.

That video doing the rounds of Sarri admiring his forst ever winners medal is a lovely thing. I never realised he only got into football in his 40's.

I like his attitude. In the run up to the game, he says my future shouldn't be determined by one match, get on with it and sack me if you're gonna sack me. Respect. He comes from Napoli so he must be a tough enough f*cker, that town is rough. He got some abuse, even from his own fans and players. Comes third in the league and wins the Europa League. Classless twats but from a Liverpool perspective it was better Chelsea won as they already had Champions League and it keeps Arsenal down in terms of competing for top players.

I knew he was a decent skin after our game at the Bridge earlier this season when he made the below comments.

“That was an extraordinary show. Just 10 minutes earlier, I saw Klopp looking at me with the game going on. I asked: “Why are you smiling?” He replied: “Aren’t you having fun?”

“I said: “so much” and he added: “me too.” He was losing at the time.

“Even after the equaliser, remembering that moment, we hugged like two old friends. I’m sure he would’ve done the same even if Liverpool hadn’t equalised.

I think in general footballers and coaches are accused far too often of not caring enough about winning and it being all about the money but 99 times out of 100 its bollocks. It's nice to see that level of appreciation though for a medal that UEFA are going out of their way to devalue.

First trophy in 26 years. Unreal to think. He will take over the Juve job there, and the next person who takes over Chelsea will have the same problems at the rest of the previous mangers as it’s a poisoned club.

VAR just made a very big impact on the Portugal Switzerland game. Switzerland claimed a penalty up one end but ref said no, ref then gave a blatant pen to Portugal straight after. VAR looked at the first one and told the ref to have a look. He then had to review a penalty decision for Switzelard knowing that if he's not giving them a pen there's a pen down the other end. He gave the Swiss the pen.
