The 3pm blackout would only apply if it was a Saturday, hence Sky showing a championship match in the slot. BT Sport in the past when they had the choice of fixtures on this day did screen 3pm games.

Interesting. I suppose it makes sense, if England can show this today, there is no limit to games being shown at 3pm. The Sky Ireland can only show when no games are being televised at that time in England. So if Sky Ireland are not televising today, it shows they have no rights, nor do they compete, with Sky or BT in England.
