I'd imagine it's because we have our biggest game in 10 years on Tuesday, barring maybe chelsea in 14. Understandable having 1 eye on that game, especially after going 2 goals up.
"Useless comeback," was Klopp's assessment of West Brom's late recovery. "I don't think that point will help West Brom massively, it is a complete waste of points: they don't need it, we would have needed it. "They are happy now, we are not happy. We stay in the league, they don't stay in the league - it is a strange situation." Had a right furious head on him
I think the refereeing decisions had klopp wound up more than anything! No point blaming wba for being wba! Surely He can’t expect them to go toe to toe with us?
The dry pitch was a bit of a joke I think. The fact that LFC should have had a stone Wall peno and Hengazi should have been clearly sent off are pretty valid.
I can't even pretend to care about Klopps comments. The players have said he likes to keep them angry so maybe that's part of it for Tuesday.Ive seen a few questions about resting players and "risking" our CL spot for next year.Everyone to their own,but I reckon when you reach the semi final of the world's biggest club competition, winning it rightly becomes your priority and taking (pretty small) risks is the right thing to do.
The refereeing was a joke for sure and I felt that’s what really got klopp worked up but it boiled over into some unnecessary pot shots at wba and their tactics! He’s an emotional guy, it can happen to anyone.
Absoultely the priority right now is CL, it’s not like the wba game was make or break, still overwhelming favs to finish top four in the league! I felt we would get a draw pre match and although I’m disappointed about drawing from 2-0 up I’m more excited about Tuesday! squad improvement required this summer to help us fight in all fronts
That last line is the key. Bringing in Moreno and Klavan hurt us yesterday . Gomez was poor too but we'd usually have the choice of him, Clyne and Trent. Keita should help a lot next year, we need to replace Moreno in the squad and sign another centre back. Another front player who can replace any one of the front three should be a priority too.
Yesterday was another good example of why Klopps rotation policy for the majority of this season was the right one.The accepted practice in English football for years had been to play your best 11 in games against the better teams and wait for a lesser team to give a few a rest.Klopp took stick for maintaining a rhythm and resting players when they needed it rather than based on who we were playing, but 4 players into the team yesterday badly lacking rhythm hurt us.
Surprised to see so many empty seats yesterday when it could their last chance in a long time to watch one of the best teams in Europe and world class players such as Salah.
Just caught West Brom’s second goal again. A few at fault in the lead up to it and then actually defending the cross. Why have we Chamberlain in a one man wall in the position he is ?? One man wall from there and no one in the hole at the front, very weird set up.
