I was half paying attention to the guy doing the manager interviews for Sky at the Wolves West Brom match when he said something that made me think "he is playing that game where you have to drop names or words into sentences." First of all he asked Sam if this means more because he was a Dudley boy, then he asked Nuno if this was the Mr Perfect game for someone or other to come back in Just goes to show you the tricks your brain can play on you. After hearing Fat Sam was a Dudley boy (God wouldnt have been great to see Bubba ray put him through a table) my noggin just turned into WWE land. I rewound the interview and he actually asked Nuno if this was just the perfect game to bring back so and so - his accent and my half paying attention turned it into a kids game
That Hererra lad is stealing a living. Surely a half fit mbappe is better than what Icardi brought there. Great game.
It started as soon as they conceded in the first leg too. Hard to believe players at that club would lack class
City really taking advantage of other teams also having no fans and atmosphere in the stadiums this season. Thankfully for them they were well used to it so took nothing away from them.
This has been a season of unrelenting utter dogshit. Having thought about it I want Chelsea to win, never thought I'd say that. Citeh have the league and league cup already and the Champions League is their holy grail. They are both awful but I'd rather see Chelsea win the final.
Never understand why some want city to win or Chelsea to win. What difference does it make? If Liverpool not there, don't give a shit. All I'm interested in is Liverpool. Havnt watched semi finals and prob won't watch final.
Because plenty of people have an interest in football beyond what happens to Liverpool, and that interest brings all different kinds of feelings depending on who's involved. Those feelings won't be anywhere near as strong but the world would be a boring place if we only took an interest in things directly linked to us. Have you never wanted a team or a person you've no special affiliation with to win a game or a match? I'm guessing you don't stop watching or hoping a certain player wins in the snooker when your favourite player gets knocked out? This is no different. I hope Chelsea wins. As somebody said already, it will be funnier to see City fall short again. And they shouldn't even be in the competition, this time last year they had a 2 year ban.
I think I just have tunnel vision for Liverpool. Re snooker or other sports I do have favourites. But obviously I'm not "fanatical" about them as I am Liverpool.. I enjoy the golf events and the snooker events. Can't actually say I enjoy watching the football. I rarely watch other games., but keep up with results. I know very little of other teams/squads. I just find it odd , on a Liverpool fan forum that some have views on who they'd like to win. I respect that. Just don't understand it. .
I'm honestly not trying to be smart here, but if you have similar feelings about other sports, how can you not understand somebody having those feelings about football? I'll be honest mate, it's a very basic thing to understand about things in life in general and that you can't fathom such basic emotions is far stranger than people wanting Chelsea to win. But each to their own.
As part of my move away from the game I have taken an approach similar to Joe. Watched about 90 minutes in total of the 4 semi final games. I just don't have the energy to waste on giving a shit on other teams, I have done it for 20 years and it has to stop, especially this season where plastic has risen to the top. Like you I would prefer Chelsea to win but equally I would find it assuming if City finally bought their number 1 objective and no one was there to see it.
No. Not offended. Just don't like gettin involved in back an forth long messages debating a point. I've made my view. I accept your response. Move on
