This thread is what it says on the box. Whatcha listening to now, and is it any good? Maybe hear about stuff you would not normally listen to, or just let the music snob in you loose. Might be a thread for a mod to turn into a sticky if it grows. To start the ball rolling, I have Pearl Jam's "Lost Dogs" on in the background. Tis my fave release by PJ, although "Live At The Gorge" runs it close for me.
Listening to Amy Winehouse's album at the moment - its class. Does anyone else have this or is it not a "bloke" type album??
Your right, its not a "bloke" type album but Im sure plenty of the lads have heard their better halves playing it Im listening to Dillinger Escape Plan and Im going to see them on saturday. Not for the faint hearted!
The two albums Im listening to the most at the moment are the Sugababes....just kidding! Echo, Silence, Patience and Grace by the Foo Fighters and Hand Built By Robots by Newton Faulkner. I do have Amy Winehouse on my iPod cause I have 80gb to fill some how and have listenend to it a few times there are patches of brillance on it but for a jazz album its a bit too 'pop'
Ah im more into the rap and dance meself tbh Im listening to Lupe Fiasco's "The Coolest"--You might rememeber one of its better tracks "Superstar" feat.Matthew Santos. I cant stand any of that rave or the yoke with the squeeky voice and all. Im quite big into Indie too,Artic Monkeys etc and i used to love listening to the Red Hot Chillis but i hated it for a while, probaly overlistening!, but im quite liking it now
Listening to the Foos new one myself at the minute, I have the widest range of music in my collection really not into any "type", started listening to John Legend also "Get Lifted" a superb artist well worth a listen.
does anyone use last.fm to track what they listen to? here's my page: http://www.last.fm/user/radiofc/ (currently listening to a bit of Hendrix and Burial)
Ian Brown's latest The World is Yours gets played quite a bit along with Bruce Springstings new one Magic. Another quality album is by a band called The Twang, its an indie Stone Roses type sound but I thinks it's very good Never get tired of Oasis, Ocean Colour Scene, Stone Roses Charlatans and a few others
yeah it's quality - pretty cool the whole mystery around him/her - any ideas as to who it is? apparently one the artist and 4 others know who it is...
Really like the single either way, must check out the rest of the album startes listening to "Reverend and the makers "recently, not bad at all
You'll enjoy the album defo then, that single isn't near the best song on the album. I'll try burn you a copy, its an itunes download so not sure if thats even possible, any ideas im not to technically minded
Thats a pair of us then!! Gettin home computer fixed at the mo and might try some of the torrent download sites then. (if I can figure it out)
I have the album and can sent it to you if you have gmail if you want it, worth a listen, closest thing to the mondays in a long time
