Anyone recommend a decent sports bar to watch football in sunny beach that has sound on etc. Am currently here and everywhere so far has games on with no sound and I'm still here for united game Monday. Cheers
A few days in the sun and already you've forgotten what listening to Martin Tyler is like. Enjoy the silence.
Its alright cheap enough, not mad on entertainment in pubs at night etc not sure I'd want an apartment here myself
Back in the office after 18 days off is grim and deffo not helped by last night Couldn't have got better weather for a week in Wexford tho the first week. Beach everyday down there in Rosslare and Carne. Place was jammed. Even bumped into @Ron1892 for a 10 year catch up. Went to the IOAC | Outdoor Adventure Centre & Scouting Experience just outside Rosslare, brilliant place with loads to do. Killarney for the races Saturday and Sunday. Lovely town. Roll on redundancy
Back today after a break in Benalmadena. Hadn't been before. It was nice in the marina area and in La Carihuela where there is a nice square of bars around Montemar. A pint of beer and a glass of white wine cost €6. You'd be mad not to!
Off to Lisbon this weekend for 3 nights then train to Algarve for a few nights. Nice balance of a city break with a beach hol which is long overdue. Heard Lisbon is a great spot. Without having to register a membership I picked up a pair of tickets for a Benfica game this Sunday on their website. €60 for a pair of tickets and none of the bolloxology we'd be accustomed to.
Lovely city. Time out market is a good spot for food. LX factory a short uber away is a decent spot for restaurants and bars. Rooftop bar with a great view. Enjoy
I haven't been to Lisbon for over 20 years but it was a great spot. Lovely grub and cheap back in the day. Lovely people, very laid back.
Great city, check out Bairro Alto for a few trendy bars on Saturday night. Usually a good atmosphere about it
Great spot. Nice ground to Sporting's and only a few stops on the metro from the city centre. Should be a good atmosphere that one, enjoy.
Anyone recommend a good campsite in France that would be manageable as a base to fit in a trip to Disney land? Kids will be 9 and 11 in the summer.
We done it last Easter and stayed here with eurocamp https://www.la-croix-du-vieux-pont.com/ We got blessed with the weather.outdoor pool was baltic but the covered one was spot on. They have a man made beach effort too and the water there was warm also. It's around 70 minutes to Disney from there. You'd need a car for that site as its in a rural countryside The site does transfares to Disney/ Airport for those with no jammer.
I’m in New York at the moment, anyone heading over be aware it’s not cheap at all!!!!! a little tip for those unaware, if you want to get close to the Statue of Liberty without setting foot on liberty island but want a nice selfie closeup then rather than paying $28 each take the Staten Island ferry that goes from the same area at battery park and it’s FREE You’ll also get to Staten Island while cruising passes the Statue of Liberty, a nice little outlet mall with some cafes and restaurants literally as you step off the ferry!
