Happier that Milan win Serie A over Inter but when you look a the direction Italian Football is going, it would be worrying. The best players in the league bar a few and Italian players seem to be up for grabs by everyone else. A lot of clubs looking for free transfers and a lot of the time this season again not full houses for games. Hopefully the actual league next season is as exciting as it was this year and that teams adopt a more adventurous approach to football.
Good piece here from Nicki. Reading back there it there is some great memories . The Juventus v Roma game was unreal . Theo’s goal from his own half another one. Great season all round and it’s shaping up next season to be good already. Some clubs have made a couple of signings already. https://www.theguardian.com/footbal...w-of-serie-as-2021-22-season?CMP=share_btn_tw
Udinese up on match day one but the stand out is Juve away second last game of the season - hoping to get to Roma at home in January https://sempremilan.com/official-milan-2022-23-fixture-list
I’m hoping to go over the end of February to see the Atlanta game and maybe get a Serie B game in too.
Can’t wait for this to start and a new signing in today https://sempremilan.com/sky-the-shirt-number-de-ketelaere-has-chosen-and-when-he-should-debut
Fabegras has signed for Serie B club Como and there is a young Irish lad playing there too. Also Connolly from Brighton has gone on loan to Venizca on loan for the season. There is quiet a few young Irish players in Italy at the moment on loan so hopefully we will see one or two make their debuts in Serie A this year .
Inter Milan have a new sponsor for their kit this season and it’s a Crypto kit. The Crypto Company haven’t made the first instalment for the deal, so they have been removed from the jersey.
Nothing about that surprises me at all except the stupidity of Inter signing up with them in the first place!
Great start to the season for Milan winning 4-2. Cracking start to the game with 3 goals in 15 minutes . Origi came on with 6 minutes to go. Great to have the Italian football back. Newly promoted Leece host Inter at 7.45 tonight and Monza (Silvo’s new club ) are home to Torino who were one of the hardest teams to break down last season.
They had a late late winner tonight . Lookman scored in the 90th odd minute to seal the win for them away from home. Big Rom back on the score sheet after two minutes for Inter. Atlanta v Milan next week should be a good one .
Was great to see a young Irish man and one from Wexford making his Serie A debut against the Champions at the weekend . Festy Ebosele came Udinese. I’d say his family are dead proud of him. Great to see. Hopefully the other few Irish lads who have moved over during the summer get some game time.
