Friday night in Drogheda reminded me why I love football.

Great game and Bohs threw everything at us to get an equaliser. They have some smashing players but met a 20 year old kid in goals who threw himself in front of everything.

Super game, super atmosphere and, for Drogheda, a super result!!

Absolute no show from Bohs first half, quite literally didn't show up, 2 absolute howlers and a peno. Drogs by far the better team and deserving of their half time lead. On the flip side, We were outstanding second half, no surprise once Dawson comes on he's an unbelievable talent and I'll say it again if he does not play senior for Ireland I'll eat my hat. Tremendous. Everyone needs to see Burts wonder strike from bout 15 yards inside his hhalf.

Great to see a home atmosphere up there last few times there it was a grave yard. Also great to get to an away my first since Pats away October 2019. Bittersweet. No more slip ups.

I feel like the latest chapter of Bohs wonder goals needs broadcasting to the world! Georgie Kelly with the best goal I've seen in person for quite some time. Sensational chest and volley. Some unbelievable goals scored in the league this year, a testament to the growing quality of player within the League.

Some serious goals getting scored fairly regularly in the league which is great to see. Quality is definitely improving which is good.

Big roar from the 'home fans' when the last minute winner went in

That roar was from the block allocated to shamrock rovers directors, who got a little bit carried away

does second from bottom go straight down this year ? or is the play offs between second to fifth in first division only for the right to meet second from bottom in the match to decide who plays top flight next year ?
    thanks

2nd 3rd 4th and 5th go into a play off semi final and final and the winner then plays 2nd bottom of the Premier division

Shels back up on first attempt. Only really sinking in now.
I have to say I wasn’t mad about keeping Ian Morris on as manager after the end to last season, but fair play.

first division can be a graveyard if you don’t bounce straight out

Watched the derby game tonight and by jaysus the rovvvvvvvvvers were played off the park by bohs and only a fcuk up by the keeper got them the point
Some serious ballers on the bohs team

The point should keep them up..

Bohs excellent first half, but didn't keep it up second half despite playing ten men

It happens sometimes, be nice to see the bohs lads on posting again:)

Harsh enough red card too but sometimes they are given.

Are u sure u watched the right match? Bohs much better team in the first half but created nothing in second half and only 1 team looked like winning it at 1-1. Keeper made up for his error in the last minute denying the young rovers striker

Rovers had one shot on target all game, were hard done by with the Lopes red card but Cotter should have had one himself. Bohs lost Tierney and Talbot in the warm up so with a lack of a bench it's understandable to see bohs fall off.

I was happy with the performance. Devoy plays with slippers on, he's an unbelievable talent. Burt too was excellent and the night and Bucko ever reliable

@Gerry I'm still here. Loads of time to post as I wasn't able to travel to Wicklow this evening for obvious reasons (fishing emoji)

Yeah definitely did watch the right game
Rovers were absolutely shite in first half Bohs walked all over them the midfield transition to attack was something else to watch
If you think otherwise then maybe you need to rewind it and watch again
Took until nearly 70 mins for rovers to “trouble” the keeper and that’s with home advantage and no away fans
Bohs deserved the win for sure regardless of the 1 man advantage which was a red for me
That Dawson Devoy lad is a proper player he was special last night
