The BBC has revealed the full details of the extensive coverage that will accompany this year’s Glastonbury festival and was first announced in February. For the first time, those who aren’t able to make it to Worthy Farm will be able to follow events on six stages – the main Pyramid Stage, the Other Stage, and the John Peel, Jazz World, Park and BBC Introducing stages – in full online throughout the weekend. “The BBC have stuck with us through thick and thin since 1997 and they’ve earned their stripes the hard way,” organiser Michael Eavis has said. “It’s been quite a journey since 97 and to have a complete record of what we’ve been up to over the years is music history gold dust.” In total, over 250 hours of footage will be streamed online, while 120 live performances are set for broadcast with Radio 2 DJ Chris Evans leading the presenting duties. “Glastonbury is one of the greatest pop music events in the world and we want to make this year’s coverage the next best thing for everyone who can’t make it in person to Worthy Farm. We aim to broadcast more of the festival than ever before, and reinvent music coverage as only the BBC can for music fans at home and on the move,” controller of BBC popular music Bob Shennan remarks. Best festival i was ever at, love to go back another year. The sheer size is overwhelming Looking forward to the coverage this year too
Always a very enjoyable weekend with some memorable performances.I really missed the fact that it wasn't on last year.
The red button really goes down a treat when Glastonbury is on.Very impressed with the Foals earlier.
Will the Rolling Stones set be live tomorrow night? Heard a few weeks ago that there was contractual problems with that being broadcast.
As far as I know they are only showing part of it live, an hour or so. This is what I read on Glastonbury forum so not 100%
Gonna take something special to match what Alex and co did last night , like I said the most important band to emerge since oasis .
Anywhere the arctic monkeys Glasto set can be watched back lads? What a class act they are, cannot wait for Electric Picnic.

Survived....just. Got severe sunburn on the Thurs morning that manifested itself into 2 massive Blisters on my knees. Had to hobble around for 3 days, which given the size of the place was a real pity. That said, barely missed any Band I'd planned seeing (Foals being one) The Arctic Monkeys were incredible, the Stones brilliant and great to see. Mad spot. Diverse as f"ck. Open drug taking on your left side, turn to your right and there's a 3 year old on her aul fellas shoulders. Scousers everywhere I'll post some pics later if I get a chance
Watched The Rolling Stones last night at Glasto, And for auld Lads, don't they have so much energy. Paddser did you go into any of those mads spot's on the course? Or did you see the Big Spider? Would love to go some Year.
