You could do alot worse than to buy Screamadelica Shay. One of the first albums I ever bought and I would say it's one of the best albums of all time. I missed Primal Scream at Glasto but checked it out on you tube. Come Together is brilliant. Anybody that didn't see it should check if out. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mVHwSdnhJMw
Strange to say beyonce isn't headline material considering she's done sell out arena tours. I don't like beyonce's music but she sells shite loads of music so there is obviously plenty of people who do.
+1 Amazed at how good she was. Pulp were class from the highlights i caught. Then again Pulp are/were brilliant.
Me too - the energy in the performance was just superb. And like herself the entire band and dancers are nutters too!!
Just flicking through youtube and some of the better performances of recent years have been the ones the muso snobs were against. Jay z,Beyonce,Wu Tang Clan(They were fantastic),Janelle Monae. And Jay z's band are excellent. I think since Emily Eavis has more say it has become a better all round festival. Less Hair,Less Guitars and thats what it needed imo. Prince next saturday please though
IM ALIVE - barly Got home last night at 8.15pm and working this morning at 8.30am Glastonbury is the best music event ive ever being to (including Burning Man in Nevada) Ive never seen such a gathering of people in my life. Got there Thursday night after driving 8.5 hours from Holyhead. Q to get in was unreal. The weather pissed down all Friday and still was best place on earth Met John Bishop walking by Pyramid on Friday (will try post a photo or at least give ya link to FB page when i get them up) - asked him if he thought we would win the league and he is as hopeful as us all. Sound bloke and down to earth The size of place is mind boggling We walked from our site (posh tents in Tangerine Fields) to view point near Glastonbury sign and took an hour from side to side. Cant big this event up enough. If you ever had any thoughts of making the trip - DO IT BBC coverage is amazing but the experience of actually being involved in something like that is unbeatable Highlights for me: U2 - set was perfect for the occassion Coldplay - unreal live Elbow - their frontman was great, but the reverse mexican wave he got crowd to do was hilarious and great to watch BB King - the man is legend for being able to keep going at his age Meet John Bishop - top bloke Viewpoint - being able to see the whole Glastonbury site in one go And just walking around finding a little stage or performance and joining in. There is no need for intinery Id say in the 4 days i was there, i saw about 80% of place, and we walked easily 10 hours a day, and stood watching bands/ performers for rest 2013 cant come quick enough to go back....
Just saw that on Twitter. I'm all for a character and Andy Carroll reminds of myself, but I really hope he has an injury free season after his "relaxing" Summer
The fcuker will need a holiday after all his gargling this summer, ive seen more pics of him on the sauce than anything else
I'd have been proud of that effort at a festival Lionel. I'm gonna model myself on him for the Electric Picnic. Except a can in each hand. Jays he loves an aul gargle.
Na missed him, would of being nice to have met him, saying that i could easily have and forgot Somerset Cider is fookin delish
Speaking of Morrisey. Ticket buyers who were entering Morrissey's gig at Middlesborough Town Hall last Friday (July 8) were searched in case they were carrying any meat products, according to reports. The former Smiths man is an extremely strict vegetarian and is known to demand that venues he perform in have no meat on the premises, but this is the first time he has insisted that gig goers be searched for meat. http://www.nme.com/news/morrissey/57992
