Not me I will admit to sitting at home having to do some work on my laptop and almost crying at half time when we were 3-0 down, the even closer to tears after the end result
I wish I was at the game but I was at home watching the game with my son. We had a big flag hanging outside the house, jerseys in the window just to rub it in the faces of our non Liverpool supporting neighbors. At half time my daughter (Non football supporter) asked were we leaving the flags up. I told her no matter what we were proud Liverpool supporters even if it finished 6 -0 . The rest is history as they say
Sitting in Lovely seats (Arm Rests and all) in the Ataturk stadium wondering how this was happening. freezing with a Liverpool Jersey, Shorts, and sandles on ready to leave at half time, brother inlaw saying to me have faith. And What happened next was history.........................
Sittin in top tier with a big pool flag wrapped round me with tears in my eyes thinkin can't believe the team has let us down after forking out all that money to get there. Then suddenly at HT our fans singing YNWA lifted me and instead of thinkin' this could be a cricket score my mindset changed to an early goal from us and we're back in it........ The rest of the game was a blur, just remember a big pile up in the stands for Alonso's goal and when Sheva missed that chance in ET, knowing that it was gonna be our night. Best night of my life
East Upper, Block 714, Row 78, Seat 413. Thats the view from me seat in me pic on the left I remember coming back from the toilets just after the start of the 2nd half in extra time. I paused to look out on the pitch and everything was very surreal at the time. The players were jaded on the pitch, the fans were jaded from lack of food and drink at the ground and I think it was the only time the ground was quiet all night. Then the Turkish steward abrubtly nudged me on! Absolute mayhem after the shootout, if you were one of those looking back at an ape jumping all over the place, kissing grown men and shouting in a fine Cork tone - you were probably looking at me
I was down in my local with all my mates. It was my 21st bday that day so even my big bro whos a manc had to be there. The best night of my life bar none
The guy sitting by the window must be a Manc. He disn't move once when the goals went in. I was in a local pub here in Cork. The girlfriend was heavily pregnant at the time so I couldn't go to the match. It was a night I'll never forget. Hanging with all my friends. There were 24 of us there. We took over the bar. There were Milan fans in the bar too (students) and we had a right ol fun time with them. It was great. Specially when the students were crying after the shoot out
I was in the Milan section. Supplied a Milan ticket by Celtic Horizon Tours ..... they didnt care that people's lives were at risk should a bad tackle go in ... they just wanted their Money. We managed to blag our way into the Liverpool section, upper tier to the left of Dudek as he was saving the peno's - there was loads of space up there.
At home. Went up stairs to check on my son (2.5) at half time, and made me feel a bit better. Did not please the missus when I woke him twice in the following 15 mins with my shouting. (Did silent leaping around front room for the equalizer.) Then mad phone calls to Dad and Mates at FT. What a night.
In a local pub and as true as i sit here went to the bookies at half-time looking for odds on us to lift trophy..they had none..only 90 min betting..put €20 on a draw which was a miserly 12/1..spent it all that night.. the best though was all the manc and arsenal mates texting non-stop in 1st half, who then turned their phones off later..
sitting in line with the goal where all 11 goals went in.....although i admit i didnt go a mad as those mentalists when we scored
I was there! What a night. Never saw the celebrations straight after Dudek's save. My brother was on top of me screaming his head off. Still smiling tho.
