i think it says a lot about the Lpool Team and Rafa's Tactics when you consider the Goals that Bloke has scored recently and consider that he did absolutely xxxx all against Lpool in 2 Games earlier this Year........

Nailed it on the head there Avid, i was very unimpressed on how Messi and Ronaldhinho warmed up on their own with the rest of the team working together

What a player. reminds me of myself, except for the football talent...I had long hair when i was 19...there the similarities end.

This kid is amazing. That goal was cheeky. So many have treatened to be the next you know who......Now, finally a true heir apparent.

But to complete the comparison, he has to do it in the world cup...

To be fair to the lad he was only back from injury in the 1st leg and was not fully fit IMO. Having said that a half fit Messi is still better than most players in the world and Arbeloa did very well against him twice.

I watched Argentina / Mexico last night, best football I've seen since the last time I watched them!

Even Veron impressed me, but what a player Masch is and as for Messi's goal - the skill in doing what he did takes it way past cheeky and into the sublime.

To be fair, Mexico contributed to what was a very good game overall except for their constant fouling at the back.

Watching the Barca v Zaragoza game from tonight. Messi scores two in the first 10 minutes. The first was an absolute gem, picking up the ball wide on the right and ended up walloping the ball into the top left hand corner of the net, must go and find it on youtube tomorrow. This lad is just incredible.
