    I just came across this clip of Katie Taylor sparing with Paddy Barnes in the high performance program.I have heard story's of her sparing with the lads as there are feck all woman boxers,I always wondered if the lads held back.From looking at this clip looks like they don't.

    She is our best bet for gold in London,if you are not into boxing Paddy Barnes got a bronze medal in the last Olympics so is no mug.

    she just lives around the corner from me..heard plenty of stories on how lads down the boxing club afraid to spar her because they didnt want to get hurt..and a lad i play football with was going to bring her out after football one night and then cancelled..the funniest time laughing our b0llocks off saying she was going to beat the crap out of him! :D

    I done a little bit of work with the boxers years ago and at the time the boys were ripping the piss out of Barnes cause Katie had knocked him sparring a few days earlier.
    Lets hope she qualifies for London now, for me our only real gold medal hope with Ward not qualifying

    I'd say she is the shortest price favorite for any event at the Olympics. All going well she will bring home gold.

    Its gonna be tough for her, all the rest have had years to catch up with her and there's a very good yank in the mix now too. Hope to god she wins it, shes a phenom plus shes gorgeous :)

    Some woman, and seems genuinely a nice person anytime she's interviewed.

    I really hope she wins in London but I think we should be proud of her regardless as she has dominated her sport like no other Irish athlete.

    Thrilled for her,a terrific athlete and boxer.

    Womens boxing going to be tough.The 64kg double world champion didnt even qualify :eek:
