Big performance tonight, let's up there is another one in store on Saturday. Hard to see Craig Bellamy starting three in a row. He looked jacked at the end. Many on the 7.40 into JLA?
Need to kick on here and take united apart like we did city.We need to be more clinical in front of goal though.Hope Bellars can manage another game as I believe he's our best creative outlet alongside gerrard. The boys will be well up for this!!
Even if we get the last 30 minutes from Bellamy for this game it would brilliant - the Scum defence especially Rio will hate playing against him. Knocking them out of the Cup will make for a great few days, hopefully we take our chances against them this time.
i just hope we dont get complacent after tonight i would give bellers the rest of week off to have him fresh for sat cos i think we gonna need him
We have to kick on from here get a good run going and we might get top 4 its defo there for the takeing.
I think whoever starts will be spurred on by today's result... agreed we'll have to sit Bellers, who would be sorely missed...but I have to believe we will respond to the challenge...City is a better side than the scum, so we should be very motivated!
Last nights win takes some of the pressure off our lads for Saturday, We have reached a final so theres not as much riding on the game as there would have been had citeh knocked us out. I dont think Kuyt or bellamy will start Saturday, both looked fcuked when they were subbed. Same team other than that.
Really looking forward to this one!..would be fcukin lovely if we knocked both sets of manc out of cups in the same week!
Reading paper talk on ssn app this morning, cant remember what rag it was but one is reporting that Evra doesnt want to play because of the abuse he will get. Probibly all lies. Just hope some idiot doesnt do something stupid. Imagine the mood in the camp if (when) we beat them. That would be a Monday morning worth coming into work
Hi Bren100, Evra is very likely to get a load of grief if he plays, not racial though - more likely along the lines of cheat or liar, I'd guess. I'm not entirely sure if it's right or wrong to see LFC fans go this route to be honest, I've mixed view (do we take the higher moral ground and say nothing, or do circa 40,000 LFC fans tell him what we think of what he's done ? ...) - Strictly speaking, it would better to say nothing, but very hard to given the circumstances. Hi mate, Agree with you about Bellamy being able to run rings about them, but can I please ask you - why wouldn't you start him and then take him off later, if he needed to come off ? (Sorry, not trying to be a pain here, but we've seen a few high profile managers over the years (incl Rafa, lets say) adopt the same strategy as your suggesting ... but sometimes they're down a goal or two and the potential imact is too late, or the mountain too great to climb etc) Personally, I'd defo start him if he's up for it - even if we have to sub him after 60mins or whatever. I'd far rather we go out from the initial kick off with our inform attacking players on the pitch and hopefully get a goal or two early on ... then if need be, put 6 defenders in front of Pepe. Defo looking forward to this one after last nights performance, only hope the players remember how it felt to play with absolute conviction last night and can repeat it on Saturday
I would start and play him for the whole 90 mins if he is up for it, but it seems to be well documented that his knees are at him and he struggles to play a couple of games in a short period of time (obviously played against Bolton & Man City). But if he is fit and able to start 100% start him, if not make sure we get at least 30 mins out of him.
Change of referee. Mark Halsey now referees after Martin Atkinson pulled out with a virus. Wonder will Evra do the same?
ive said it before but id be shocked if evra starts tbh fergie has often droped rooney in similar circumstances down through the years im sure rooney was droped for the last game at anfield the time his father was in the news
I'm sure he would claim they were racist comments no matter what the fans chant. The whole football world will be watching to see what happens. We need to give a good impression of Anfield and its fans.
