been listening to top 40 all morning, first time in about 15 years I like everything in the chart, only other time I would have said that was early 80's & mid 90's great pop songs about at the moment, that Rihanna & Katy Perry have great music that makes one want to tap their toes. Fact

musical fascists, I hadn't known steps had reformed, great- I dare you not to enjoy Rihannas music on a long journey. its good music not up there with The beatles & the stones but still better than the forgettable shite piled out not so long ago

id blame x factor for that not the OP to be honest.its the main reason very few decent bands breakthrough these days now its safer to go with carbon copies of whats out already.maybe im getting older and ive grown outta it but is there feck all rap music on the go these days compared to say 8-10 years ago?

Depends where your looking mate. In America it's still as big as ever and even England has its own big scene with the likes of Professor Green, Tinie Tempah, Chipmunk, Plan B and all that. Most pop music in the charts has some sort of watered down elements of rap music in there somewhere.

Music these days is just more accessible these days, sure as f**k doesn't make it better.

Keisha's 'Tik-Tok' sold more copies than ANY Beatles single.
Kathy Perry & Micheal Jackson hold the record for number of number one singles in one album.

The cast of Glee has had more singles chart than the Beatles.

    The world is f**ked people.
