Need a win against these, missing quite alot of players through suspension and injury. Ged will get a great reception too!!
We have to get 3 points here!! Spurs only claiming a point today should be enough motivation for the team. We can claw back up the table if we perform against a weakened villa side.We should be attacking again from the off like the spurs match but hopefully taking our chances as Birmingham did against them midweek.
Yes Ronan, but there were significant gaps between wins on Mondays. This was discussed in some detail last year http://www.irishkop.com/forums/showthread.php?t=13674
was portsmouth last season at anfield not a monday night? have a good feelin torres will find his form monday night
Yes this game was the first Monday night win for over 10 years excluding Easter Mondays and Stephen's Days. A month later Liverpool also beat West Ham at Anfield. Then there was Man City this season.
I think it was the the Bradford winger that scored their goal that night, the one that used to dye his hair a different colour everyweek. Ibraham Ba I think his name was.
I remember Ba for Milan but pretty sure he didn't play in the premiership. I think the guy you could be on about is Jamie Lawrence, a winger who always had ridiculous coloured hair-do's.
Its the game at Anfield earlier in the season that KK1977 is chatting about. Wetherall's moment was the final day at Valley Parade in a relegation/Champions league showdown
Thank you, it was indeed Jamie Lawrence. Ba definitely played in the Premier League, I think it might've been Bolton.
That's a different game, the context was Liverpool winning on a Monday night. When Wetherall scored, it was played on a Sunday and Liverpool lost.
