Reverse Auction in aid of the Irish Injured Jockeys Fund (sponsored by Jack Kennedy)

Prize is a trip for 2 to Liverpool v Man Utd incl' match tickets, return flights and 1 night stay in Sir Thomas Hotel.

Lowest unique bid will be deemed the winner, bids are €5 each..............For details on how to place you bids and payment options please message me,thanks all and best of luck.

A bit of backround on how the auction came about.

As a few of you know i go pony racing every weekend and am well involved in the sport. For the big meeting of the year the bookmakers on the midlands circuit sponsored a prize for the ride of the meeting at the big meeting of the year in Dingle. There was a poll ran on the midlands horse and pony racing association page on facebook and this was the result

    http://www.vizu.com/poll-vote.html?n=217999

Anyway the prize was a trip for 2 to Liverpool v Man Utd this season (i put up 2 of my cards) with flights and a one night stay also included. Its quite a valuable prize that would be worth in the region of 400 assuming the flights are no more than 100 each.

The young lad that won it is Jack Kennedy from Dingle(younger brother of jockey Paddy Kennedy),the kids only 11 year old.Anyway to make a long story short he was made up to win more so because of the voting about him winning the ride of the meeting more than the prize itself. He asked me if i could find someone who would buy it so he could give the money to the Injured Jockeys Fund of Ireland.I said i'd help him out and run some sort of raffle or auction to maximise what he might get for it.

Just to let everyone know Jessica Lamb from the Racing Post will be highlighting the auction and thanking Jack in the paper Sunday as part of the Racing People on Sunday in the Post, thanks Jessica.

The auction will be closed off on Sunday the 28th November.

Jack Kennedy after winning the 12.2 Derby in Dingle this year on his own pony Pair Of Jacks, this was the ride that won him ride of the meeting.

Cheers for the donations and bids so far from everybody.I wont be pushing it too hard on the site as Irishkop does plenty for charities both LFC related and for people on here who are our good friends. This fundraiser isnt really one that Irishkop would be expected to endorse but it does give everyone a chance to get to what is possibly our biggest game of the season for a fiver so for that reason i asked Paul could i stick it on here.

Just giving this a bump here, thanks to everyone who have made their contributions. All bids ive recieved so far have been from Irishkop (apart from a lad from Liverpool on facey) so as things stand an Irishkop winner is looking promising.

The chance of 2 Kop Grandstand tickets,Flights and Accomodation in the Sir Thomas for Liverpool v Man Utd on 3rd March for a fiver.;)
