i was watching the racing on rte and in the last race they said a lad on 1 of the exchanges laid a horse that had fallen for 50 quid at 999-1. the only thing was that the horse hadn't fallen at all,the commentator called the wrong faller.someone took the 50 quid bet and the horse went on to win the race. he probably thought he was being a cheeky cnut getting 50 quid out of someone but now he's down 50 grand....
i'm not an expert on the exchanges but i think you have to have the money in your account to cover the bet so if he didn't have the 50k he wouldn't have been able to lay the horse. it was the race before the big race at fairyhouse,i think a willie mullins horse won it..
He has to have it in his account to lay it so its some smart prick millionaire just knocked 5 digits off his betfair balance,**** the much loss!!
Golden Silver...2 horses fell and one brought down at same fence and Golden Silver was mentioned as one of them... You'd be sick...
**** him obviously has it... Id say it was some rich kid thinking he was a clever boy... **** id love to land a bet like that especially off a rich **** acting the bollox... it would mean more
You have to be able to cover the bet in the first place so the hungry cnut had over 50 large in his account and wanted 50 euro for lunch for the week.that was a good bet by the fella who won though he just seen great odds and went for it.
anyone with 50k in a bet fair account is minted will feel a right prick for a few days but i doubt it will mean **** all else
grand if its some rich lad, but imagine some idiot but his and his birds deposit for a gaff or something into betfair to make a few quid...He'd top himself....
That is fookin mental. There are guys who spend all day every day looking to lay those sort of bets and make easy money, so I would say he will make it back soon enough if he is a professional gambler on betfair.
