    Liverpool linked to ‘new kaka’

    LIVERPOOL LINKED TO ‘NEW KAKA’
    Internet Report 13 November 2009
    http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/mediawatch/drilldown/MW15303091113-1047.htm
There has been increased speculation linking highly-rated Brazilian Hernanes with a move to Premier League giants Liverpool.

It has been claimed by the Brazilian press that Rafa Benitez is chasing the midfield playmaker, who is being dubbed the 'new Kaka'.

The Reds boss will step up his chase for the talented South American in the January transfer window.

The 24-year-old’s full name is Anderson Hernanes de Cavalho Andrade Lime, and he is currently playing for Brazilian league leaders Sao Paulo.

Hernanes has been linked to a host of European clubs such as AC Milan and Juventus, but the Italian clubs have struggled to raise the fee Sao Paulo are demanding.

The midfielder himself has claimed his love for Serie A, however the financial lure of the Premier League could sway the Brazilin to the shores of England.

Hernanes told Gazzetta dello Sport: “I’m a player who loves to think on the pitch.

“I understood that in every player there’s the time to evaluate and do the best things. My best qualities are probably dribbling with the ball and my hard shot.

“The comparison with Pirlo is very good, it definitely pleases me.â€

Despite his desire to play in Serie A, Hernanes would be at home at the Merseyside club with the likes of fellow countrymen Fabio Aurelio, Diego Cavalieri and Lucas Leiva.

They could play a vital role in attracting him to the club.

Must be getting near January :) I just love the transfer window and all the spectulation, I know it's mostly all bull sh! t but I can't help reading these stories. I know, I know, I'm easly amused

I think the two peices of that story I've quoted sums up this one .... where in God's name do they think LFC are going to get cash from, to pay for new signings ????

It's becoming even more frustrating now the LFC website is carrying some of these stories, no doubt it's one of Mr. Ayre's ideas to help get more people onto the website and potentially purchasing merchandise, tickets etc.

Like everyone else, I can't help but read the stories that circulate and dream of some of the high profile signings we've been linked with .... but as long as the Yanks have our club, we may aswell be reading Sci-Fi stories (although I'd be only too delighted to be proven wrong here !)

At 24, I would be a bit sceptical to Kaka comparisons.

+1 Your opinons on Lucas should be in the Lucas thread...

At 24 he should be playing for one of the big european clubs if he is that good..Surely his potential would have been noticed a couple of years ago..

I agree with Garreth with regards us posting rubbish like that on the offical site..Stupid in my opinon....Just more tabloid gossip..Just goes to show how little people actually know about our club and the state its in..

Garrets right on this. The laughable thing now is, we now have our own offical website speculating about players even though they know we have'nt got a pot to piss in, and not a chance in hell of signing them.

Correct, lads please keep the thread on topic, this is not the Lucas thread.

I'd tend to feel the same way mate, unless for some reason he's a late starter or something. However, I have to be fair here and also mention that I don't know anything about this lad, other than from a very quick search on the internet a little while ago.

Sadly, many of the LFC supporters (even on IrishKop) don't seem to realise how much trouble our club is actually in at the moment. A quick read of www.spiritofshankly.com is a good place to start for those who are not familar with LFCs problems.

Not to say for fact that this is the case with regards to Charmac and personally, I've no problem at all with some of these threads been linked here for discussion on IrishKop as long as they don't come from a source which is banned on IriskKop (everyone knows what I mean here, no need to name the bloody rag ;))

It's just such a shame that our club is in the mess it's in and now we have to be further mislead, thanks to the alternative agenda of some of the new employees at LFC like Ian Ayre for example.

I'm not really sure how to take your comments Garrett  I don't know if you were having a go at me or what,:( I just thought it was strange to see rumours like this posted on our official website and thought it would be interesting to see what people on this site made of it, no harm there is there.

How old was Arshavin before the whole football world had discovered him, 26?, now look at him. Some players take a bit longer to mature, this guy is 24 not 34.

dont be quick to praise a player from a youtube clip, a tonne of those goals were equally the result of rubbish defending, in addition to his small sparks of brilliance...

the lad might be fantastic, but id prefer to watch a few full 90min Sao Paulo matches to confirm it.
