Ian Snodin and Stuart Mc Call just on goals on sunday talking about how if it wasnt for heysel and the ban that the everton team of 87 wouldn't have broken up if they could play in the european cup and they would have been a force to be reckoned with in europe.

His memories of playing for Rangers brought some tears to my eyes too, or maybe it was the onions I was chopping . . . .

They casually seem to forget we would have donimated Europe in that period much more than the bitters would have. Brucie, Hansen, GG, Stan, Nicol, Stevie Mc, Whelan, Molby, Houghton, Aldo, Digger, Rushie, Beardsley would have had a field day in Europe. You don't hear many Reds argue or mention that though. It's a pity they didn't get their chance to shine in Europes biggest competition. They had a really good team at the time, who knows what would have happened. We would have been equally agrieved had the shoe been on the other foot.
