Great effort for the womens double sculls reaching the final. Knocked out the French.

The mens triathlon this morning was an incredible race, the Kiwi fella looked into total control and about 1k from home his legs just went on him and the Brittish lad just shot by him. Tough cycling track, there was carnage in the womens race this morning on the wet cobbles, might not have been the best idea and I'm not sure hindsight was needed on that one.

Yeah a great finish. 16 seconds ahead entering the last 2.5km lap and still 8 seconds ahead entering the final 750m. I actually thought Yee might get caught by the French lad before the Kiwi fell away.

Cheers Ed - even though I didn't know who he was, you could tell he more than knew what he talking about! Great watching.

I initially thought it was a mistake from the Kiwi going out so early but he looked completely fine right up until that last 1k and his legs just died on him, you could see him starting to look around, he knew he was goosed. Didn't realise he still had so much at the 750mtrs but there was nothing he could do at that point, he'd pushed too hard earlier.

The more I read about that Algerian woman in the boxing, the sadder I feel for her. With where she's come from, her story should be seen as an inspiring one, instead she's being accused by every cunt and their mother of being a man and a cheat. Safety should be the first priority, and I dont know if her testosterone levels mean she shouldn't be participating, but she doesnt deserve the treatment she's getting. Its not right. She was born a woman and whatever condition she may or may not have isn't grounds to put her life and/or liberty at risk by falsely claiming she's trans, which is illegal in Algeria.

A shocking decision in the Boxing there. Moorehouse was robbed. Time for the boxing to exit the Olympics. Too corrupt

She usurped Katie Taylor as the most famous female boxer in 30 seconds flat!

We seem to have hit a bad patch in Olympic men's boxing.

The posh lad on RTE that does the commentary for boxing gets right on my nerves. I'm a fair weather boxing fan, Olympics and the odd world title fight. Even at that I feel I know way more than him, he seems totally clueless. Back to the rugby old boy.

Is it only me or are RTE taking the absolute piss with ad breaks? Yer man Collins came on for his stint at 1.32pm and they have gone to their 3rd add break at 1.52pm
Starting to feel like I'm watching a program about TSB and Allianz, interspersed with breaks of Olympic action
