Even leaving aside how damaging the super league is to what we are, they've handled this appallingly. At least have the bollocks to stand in front of us and let us hear from John Henry's own mouth.
So, do the majority here still think that they are great owners, and we're lucky to have them? This was always about money, and FSG have made a sh1t load on the back of LFC already. How much more will this add to their bottom line? One thing for sure, it won't result in reduced ticket prices for the ordinary fans.
There is time for that but why should they be the ones to stand up front again? They probably realise this won't actually happen so don't want their name solely associated with it like it was with project big picture. Juventus put out a statement that heavily implied this may never happen, I can't see any way it goes through, UEFA will be ripped asunder and these clubs will replace them in the position of power.
I cant see Klopp as our manager by weeks end to be honest. Club not aligned to his menatlity at all now. Fans have been fucked under a bus.
Decided to have a look at the Facebook and Twitter comments under the official pages to see what some of these newer worldwide or younger fans/followers views were on the game. If FSG or their fellow defectors are taking their lead based on the wider masses feedback, dread to think what they will dream up next. Some crazy comments about Klopp getting 100s of ‘likes’, you can imagine some PR firm that run models on this type of stuff feeding snapshots back to owners. Can we go back to pre social media/pre smart phones. Back then it was only angry internet forum posters that posed a threat
I have always supported this lot. It was never about the finances or how much they spent for me, as it is for some fans, they increased our revenue and spent within their means, which is all I wanted. I have however defended them for the mistakes they have made in regards to raising ticket prices etc and blindly put it down to their inexperience in football. The number of times they have knowingly made a controversial decision, waited for our reaction, and then changed their original decision, has me thinking they are trying to get away with shit or trying to slip one under the table. This is the last straw though...their silence is disgusting. Letting Klopp and the players (who had nothing to do with it) take the full force of the media is absolutely despicable. With Chelsea pulling out, no doubt the rats will all be jumping ship and trying to save face but they can go fuck themselves...I want my club back!
Not surprised to see the two clubs back by billionaire owners with unlimited personal resources the first to back out and the two with most to lose in terms of still being in the CL. The rest of the teams will now be forced into submission but bizarrely City and Chelsea will come out of this looking much better. Utter farce from start to finished and a complete embarrassment by the clubs owners.
From the club entirely? Just seen your update, yeah I think you're right! They may never recover from this.
Long way back for them. Was all going so well for them, even got away relatively with the £77 tickets, trademarking "Liverpool" and the furlough.
