I think that's pretty harsh. Surely any need to reinvest in the squad or squad value will be reflected in a lower sale price.
I feel more nervous than excited by all of this It I’m being honest very much feels like a step into the unknown. Praying it works out for us
To be honest I’m very nervous about us been sold by FSG , personally think they’ve been very good owners but would have liked them to invest some of the increase in value of the club back into the squad . Once FSG could see FFP rules were a joke it was a worry and then Newcastle where bought by oil money , the writing was on the wall imo. The push now is the purchase of a NFL team is a big possibility which is a very rare thing and you can’t blame them for wanting to reinvest back in the states , especially when they think they can’t be as competitive financially as they would like to be in the premier league for obvious reasons . Just hope they show some class and pick the right owners to sell to .
Washington Commanders are up for sale and FSG rumoured to be in for them. This could happen quicker than people think.
NFL teams don’t come up for sale very often , last one was 9/10 years ago . They will still need investment even with the sale of the club , could be why they got into bed with red bird .
Actually Denver Broncos sold this year and Carolina Panthers a few years ago. The other owners though have approve the change in ownership and Henry would fit the bill.
I read 9 years , but either way you can see them Very interested if a NFL club up for sale. Personally find it worrying , until we hear who the possible owners might be
FSG as they are set up now would be barred from buying a NFL franchise but the rules are due to change for next tear so could be looking to sell LFC to have the cash in the coffers if/when the opportunity arrises.
If FSG genuinely managed this sale well it could be a good thing for the club, . Any hint of a shitty new owner the supporters need to go to absolute all out war, the power to stop this is there. Make it so unpalatable for the new owner that it becomes impossible for them.
The NFL forbids corporations, religious groups, governments, and non-profit organizations owning a team. The NFL requires a controlling owner to hold at minimum a 30% stake in the team and forbids ownership groups of over 24 people, or any publicly traded corporations from purchasing NFL teams.
Liverpool chairman Tom Werner has confirmed the club's owners, Fenway Sports Group (FSG), are looking at selling the Reds. FSG recently said it "would consider new shareholders" amid reports it had put the Merseysiders up for sale. "We're exploring a sale, but there's no urgency, no time frame for us, and as far as I'm concerned, it's business as usual," Werner told the Boston Globe. "One outcome could be our continued stewardship for quite a while." https://www.bostonglobe.com/2022/11...-interest-is-high-possible-sale-liverpool-fc/
No. All he's getting from it is laughed at. That's why his tweet has gone viral, because he's getting rinsed. Some of these lads genuinely think they have an impact on the owners decisions. There's a lad from Cork who's convinced he's played a big part in the owners decision to sell. They're off their tits.
Twitter hey, it's given some of the biggest gobshites in the world a voice. Today Ive seen Shankly spelt Shankley. Ive seen "deal done" and "news in the coming days" from absolute no marks who I can assure you are not in the know... Are they all fucking narcissist or what? Craving the hits the attention. As the saying goes a broken clock is right twice a day but this fucking whorshiping they get is the oddest thing Ive ever seen.
