Definitely agree LFCRebel! The period between Sept and Oct Internationals will be massive, 3 wins out of 4 there and we will be in very strong position heading towards winter
That was a surprise to see the television matches for the 1st weekend announced this morning and a top six match too on the opening weekend. Liverpool get some extra time to prepare for the Super Cup compared with their opponents Chelsea. Anybody found the confirmed dates for each of the rounds of the League Cup? Very hard to make any predictions around the dates of matches based on the fixtures with the exception of Liverpool v Newcastle not being a Sunday game as this fixture will need to be confirmed before the Champions League draw on August 29th. Probably the same circumstances with Sheffield United away, Manchester United away, Aston Villa away and Crystal Palace away. Of course not all of those fixtures are certain to be televised. I think some of the Saturday night television matches could well be used on the weekends before Champions League matches. There could also be some possible swaps as well announced as going on previous seasons the television announcements for up to November will be made before the Champions League group stages draw. The Everton Home match looks like a certainty for television on the Wednesday night in December. Is that the midweek for the Amazon/Premier Sports deal meaning all 10 matches will be televised over the two nights? Liverpool are away again this season (City) when the Grand National is in April.
Have not seen these dates confirmed Carabao Cup Wednesday August 28 Round two Carabao Cup Wednesday September 25 Round three Carabao Cup Wednesday October 30 Round four Carabao Cup Wednesday December 18 Round five Carabao Cup Wednesday January 8 Semi-final first leg Carabao Cup Wednesday January 29 Semi-final second leg Carabao Cup Sunday March 1 Final - Wembley If correct the Liverpool v Arsenal match could very well be on Monday night the 26th of August. It is the only fixture of the ten matches that weekend that has two teams that will not be involved in the League Cup 2nd round.
Liverpool considering scrapping Anfield friendly with Schalke 04 on Tuesday, August 6 because it’s too close to opening PL fixture v Norwich on Friday, August 9. Sky Sports unaware of any request from club to avoid that Friday slot. @TimesSport
Also UK bank holiday so might want a game on...oof as was thinking of trying to get to that one as birthday on the Sunday so good excuse!
Proposed television announcement dates for the season 2019/20. One key difference from last season is that October and November are split and that November matches will be announced after the Champions League group draw. https://www.premierleague.com/news/1242110 Aug/Sep 5 July 2019 Oct 6 August 2019 Nov 16 September 2019 Dec/Jan 11 October 2019 Feb 14 December 2019 Mar 24 January 2020 Apr 21 February 2020 May 3 April 2020 MW38 Post-MW 37
Newcastle game should be locked in for Saturday early or late fixture, given Champions League draw not until August 29th PL wont want any potential issues or clashes with Sunday games. Internationals are week beforehand so wont be another Friday. We are the only real big game on that weekend. Everton wont move based on Amazon agreement and already confirmed dates and times on the PL web site for Tuesday and Wednesday games. Liverpool V Everton Wed 4th 20:00. Unless Club World Cup throws a spanner in the works. I cant find agreed dates for this yet. Anyone know what they are? United game should probably be early Saturday kick off as we play Wolves the following Tuesday.
This twitter message from Amazon would seem to suggest that there will be a match on Thursday 5th December.
Would the international break the week after weekend of Oct 5/6 rule out Monday night football that weekend
Sky have never let this game go to a rival broadcaster. Would not rule anything out that weekend as Wolves can be moved.
Its gets more & more difficult with more players like Amazon involved in television rights on when matches will be shown, who will be moved, etc.
