Liverpool Football Club would like to thank our Members for their continued patience and ongoing support during today's sale. Supporters still waiting are advised to leave the queue as we are now completely sold out. Thank you. So in other wards thanks for entering the ticket sale but you probly had more chance of winning the lotto
Hold back a lot of what tickets? The 4 games today are now sold out and not in the sale tomorrow. 6 games on sale tomorrow and it'll be a battle royale
I got in but all I could get was singles and out of 3 games and 9 tickets, 7 are restricted view and another severely restricted. Better than nothing. Will try for utd in a late sale.
When I got in this is what they had for all the games except United. Dalglish stand Upper (CE1, CE9) Anny Road Lower (back rows of most blocks) Main Stand Lower (L1, L10) Main Stand Upper (back rows of some blocks)
It seems the only recommendations that came out of the various Ticket Forums and Surveys was that Tony Barrett had a blog that told ya how many people were in the queue as that’s the only difference from last year
Off work today, absolutely raging I didn’t just have a lie on. Suppose that’s what happens when supply<demand. 12 credits and I’m left with no tickets so far and tommorrow not likely to be any better. Fuck it anyways
Took me off the ball at the back of last season and ended up with 11 myself Still always the late sales
Was lucky enough to get in and get one but had phone and computer going both logged in at same time but yet over an hour wait on computer and 12min wait on the phone which increased every minute I was waiting, was losing all hope when it climbed to 20min wait
I had a lot of luck in them last year. Found it best to stay logged in for a good while even after the "sold out" went up. You could usually click through that and more would pop up as people emptied baskets I guess.
The only reason IMO for the huge drop from 13 to 4 is to encourage supporters to buy their first membership. If they stagger the sales like 13 attendances to 10 to 8 etc (which makes perfect sense btw) effectively makes it a closed shop. They'd be shooting themselves in the foot as who would be interested in purchasing a membership? 4 attendances is almost a free for all which turns both today and tomorrow even more so into a farce. Best way to climb the ladder is to be on the alert all season for late sales.
Good advice. How do you know when the late sales happen though? Do you just have to go on to the website every single morning? Or is there some sort of alert system?
Go on sale about 2 weeks before each game, If you keep an eye on the tickets page on the website you'll see the date when its announced
I'm sure you're right and that's the club's thinking behind it but does it not also stop it becoming a closed shop to the fans who cant get 7 or 8 or 10 credits? I'm only asking by the way but would staggering it leave anything at all for people on 4 credits and give them very little chance of getting the required credits going forward?
It's also worth watching the sales page even earlier than two weeks for certain teams. There can often be an extra 1,000-1,500 tickets available in Anfield Lower from the allocation that is normally taken up by the away supporters. Off the top of my head I think Crystal Palace, Southampton & Watford did not take their full allocation last season as well as relegated Swansea and West Brom.
