I think he is just error prone. Id go as far as to say he could be world class if he cut out all these mistakes. Fact is, its not one mistake a season, its one a month.

Has to be. Physically he has what it takes to be a great centre back. I think he panics too much though so maybe not comfortable with the ball at his feet. I guess when you have a track record like he has then it's in the back of his head all the time and maybe that affects his concentration. I think the fact he hasn't a huge amount of pace also has alot to do with the rash tackles he is prone to making and attempted clearances like last Sunday. Shame really but don't think he is a solution just part of the problem. The sooner Gomez gets a crack in his natural position the better for us

I think that sums him up, if he’s having a bad game the head goes! He’s not the first defender to make a mistake but he seems to dwell on it and lose focus! He lacks composure under pressure
I’d like to see lovern and another moved on, flip a coin on klavan and matip! Develop Gomez and bring in another Top CB
