Done Bubba @ 25/1 yesterday, also Fowler but my bigger bet and just for a place @ 5/2 was Johnson, Bubba now 5/1 but 3 days to go and Johnson drifted.

Done Kaymer at 16/1 for this weekends Scottish one, rather do a golf bet every weekend than horses these days, 4 days and still running does me.

Some performance. Very honest in his interview afterwards too, said he never wants anyone to have to experience what he did at the Masters ever again. Such a humble man and an incredible golfer.

Great to see him bounce back so soon and win again especially in front of huge home crowds in Texas, he's still only a kid so he will go through a few more emotional cycles in his development but he's a bona fide superstar of the game.

The Open Championship at Royal Troon next week. Anybody had any early bets now that Paddy Power are 1/5 odds, places 1-8!

Just realised my bets I put on Kisner and Koepka for US Open were actually put on the US PGA. Been some mess if one of them had won the US Open. On the plus side bets already done for PGA

Kaymer had a decent run in Scotish open so going for him at 70/1, Matsumyama 70/1 and Lowry 45/1

Stats (for what they're worth): Last 6 Royal Troon winners have been American. Winners usually need to have won in the previous 12 months, have played 6+ Open's and 10 of the last 11 winners have previously had a top 6 Open finish.

    I'll be having DJ & Henrik Stenson e/w @ 10/1 and 33/1.

If you back in boyles they're giving money back as a free bet on losing bets if your selection finishes 2nd or 3rd, decent offer.
And Ladbrokes are giving money back as a free bet on all losing bets if an Irish golfer wins the open.

A US Open course with a Par of 72 just does not feel right even with the course length. Last time a course with this par was at Pebble Beach in 1992.

Thinking back to Bruce Harmon commentating at the Masters for Sky when he was speaking about Ricky Fowler and social media and getting him to change his lifestyle. Looks like the sound advice is paying off.

Must admit I have enjoyed some of the impossible courses of the past where any score under par might be a winning score. Weather seems to be favourable too for this tournament so far.
