    Knight is the captain of Wayne Rooney's Derby County. He covers an awful lot of ground, Whelan hardly covered any!

    Shocking news re Alan McLoughlin. I'm very saddened to hear of it.

    What a great irish football man he was. Whilst he will, properly, be remembered for his goal in Belfast, he should also be remembered for his great service to the team over the course of a decade, always showing up often not to get a game.

    In later years, I enjoyed his very interesting analysis of the PL on Today FM.
