Just under 6 months ago, we won 10 out of 11 games drawing our 11th with a 4-4 draw against Arsenal. This run saw us come the closet we ever have come to the Premier League and we also finished the league with the highest number of points for any second place team and not manage to win.

6 months on, we have had a dreadful campaign so far by all accounts, not helped by out injurys to so many key players.

Rafa has built this squad on the back of very hard circumstances at the club . 6 months ago Rafa took us to the brink and now people are shunning away from him after a bad run of results. Some people have short-term memories!

Pundits and fans writing us off the season in early November is a disgrace in my opinion!

Rafa must not go it would be a massive mistake if he was sacked any progress thats been made would leave anfield with rafa.

the start to this season hasnt been ideal but rafa's record speaks for itself he will get it turned around

    Quoted today

Benitez said: "The players are working very hard, they are positive and determined. They know this result is important for the club, for everyone.

"But our fans have not turned. They are clever people, they know the position the club was in when I arrived and they know what position it is in now, they know this is the only way.

"It is important for everyone to see the bigger picture, I am sure things will change in a few weeks when we have our players fit again. When we have our big players available, everything will change.

"I do not accept that we have not signed good players, some may not have settled as quickly, but we are doing a good job.

"This is not the right time to be discussing our signings. But we do have good players, and we have too many injuries.

"We have signed very good players, we have a good team and a good squad."

He added: "Losing would be bad for us, bad for the club, but we will keep going. But we are not thinking that way, we are only thinking of winning.

"In a few weeks these problems will have gone. Key players will be fit."

I believe rafa is in the process of putting the structures in place to allow us to challenge for years to come despite quite clearly lacking the resources of other clubs because of this i believe it would be an absolute disaster if we were to lose rafa now

My worry is the some less educated liverpool fans will believe the shite whelan and dunphy are currently serving up on rte, dunphy for example has jus claimed rafa's net spend is 200m and we spend more than utd. Yes that would be the same utd that has rooney 27-30m, rio 29m, hargreaves 18m, carrick 18m, nani and anderson 35m, berba 32m, valencia 17m,

We have never been able to compete in the transfer market like that yet you know people listening in will eat this and pile the pressure on rafa

No doubt about it Rafa is the best manager Liverpool has had in the past 20 years, that doesn't change overnight... He is 100% the right man to lead us through this rough spot and to glory once again!

Rafa said: and I don't quote cos I don't remember word for word.... When you walk theough a storm your head is high, we must keep our heads high.

The man has made a few mistakes but I have no doubt in my mind of his feelings for my club. He wants to lead us to greatness once again and I feel that we need to give him the chance to do this.

What we do not need is yank owners who prostitute our club for personal gain.

We do not need negative "fans".

We need to pick ourselves up and brush ourselves off then walk on. As we were born to do!

    I still believe in Rafa.
He has gotten control of the club with regard to youth set up, reserves etc.
I know it sounds bad after 5 years, but he needs time to let his masterplan for the club as a whole come to fruition.
    Go Rafa!

So the true extent of Rafa’s failings in the transfer market is just six players from 17, coming with a loss of just under £10 million within four and a half years—the most expensive loss being just £3.3 million; nothing like the losses achieved by other established Premier League managers who manage to avoid the media abuse storm.

Garcia -2.0, Morientes -3.3, Palletta -0.8, Josemi (swapped for) Kromkamp -0.25, Idrizaj -0.19, Keane -3.0 (could be even less depending on contract triggers)
