"back in the day" - seems to have come from the States, gives absolutely no idea of when someone is referring to etc.
Thanking you. I'd really rather you didn't to be honest. Not a phrase but people putting stuff on Facebook or WhatsApp like "Can you give me the name of a good Spotify Playlist" never heard of Google no?
‘Thoughts and Prayers’ from politicians after more people are killed by guns in the US. Was looking at the story of the Jerseys shootings on twitter and all you see is politicians offering thoughts and prayers to the victims families.
“Can’t cope” . It wrecks my head . You see it all over social media these days. Course you can bloody cope. And I don’t mean in reference to mental health or life . I mean if some one puts a picture up and they say “can’t cope”.
Liverpool are definitely getting (insert team name here) in the draw, aren't they? No,they're not definitely getting that team and if they do it's a coincidence.
The one a couple of years back that went viral on FB, Ah HEYOR Leave it out , it was funny at first but after weeks of it, It done my head in
Some reverse snobbery but people with Dublin 4 accents using Dublin slang can be a bit cringey. Come to think of it they're shit at cursing aswell.
As a non-Dub, I think of Dubs in about 4 different accents as follows; - Ross O'Carroll Kelly - The Ireland fans in the Apres Match Sketches - The David McSavage junkie on The Savage Eye - Damien Dempsey
It's the Ross O'Carroll Kelly one I'm talking about. All the other ones are fine when it comes to slang or cursing.
