I've signed up with amazon prime for free 30 day trial but says I can't watch some content?
Watched it on Friday not a patch on the first one imo
Don't know a lot about it but apparently because you're in ireland you need to go on an online chat with them to get them to change your settings so you can access the full content.
For anyone that wants to watch the borat movie, download the cinema hd app, it's on that.
I really didn't enjoy Borat much at all to be honest, just finished it now but just completely missed the mark for me, the first one managed it much better!
While very few sequels ever trump the original, I enjoyed the Borat sequel.
It was probably a 7/10 for me.
I watched that new tom hanks greyhound movie the other day, I was not impressed at all.
Watched it a while ago and thought it was good. Another one I watched around the same time was Midway. It’s definitely a better film that Greyhound
Watched it using my new Atmos setup and it was deadly for the bomb drops. I enjoyed it but I like war films
Definitely agree. The bomb runs took some bravery
I agree. I thought it was piss poor.
15 years ago he could get away with being an oddball foreigner with a camera crew. Everybody is wise to it now and plays for the camera. Only 2 scenes felt genuine and they weren't funny.
Cohen is usually funny and smart but I thought this scene was the opposite. He gets a young pretty woman to act inappropriately and lead a guy on. He takes the bait. And that's it?
I don't see where the humour is or even what's supposed to be embarrassing for Giuliani.
Just seen your reply now.
I laughed at that scene too but I really liked the ending for a few reasons. Don't want to spoil it but I'll just say one reason was : it wasn't predictable like so many movies.
Ridiculous is part and parcel of a horror whether it's about the supernatural or an unstoppable killer.
And to contradict myself slightly, the director's second movie, Midsommar, was actually the most realistic horror I've seen. Not a patch on Hereditary but still very impressive.
A young pretty girl who he thought was 15. For me the humour of that part of the movie was a man who has spent years trying to embarrass people for political purposes, often in a corrupt or dishonest way, getting a taste of his own medicine. The humour in the movie as a whole I thought was more in the subtle jokes than in the bigger parts. Seems to be getting mixed reviews,I really enjoyed it.
And I think that it was lacking any of that subtlety that he delivered in the first iteration but perhaps it just went over my head, it was just a blunt object this time round.
The Giulliani thing is quite insane but as is typical of these situations he's just lied about what is blindingly obvious but not much in it that will stick. It's very important to note that you're mistakenly suggesting he thought she was 15 she is not and never told Rudy that she was 15, it wasn't until Sacha came in that he said she was 15, the lady is 24 and I think it's unfair to suggest he ever took her for 15.
Only going by what I read mate, and I've seen in numerous articles that he thought she was 15. If that's not the case I'm happy to be corrected. It would still be embarrassing, but nowhere near as disgusting.
Had to go through a few articles, but you're right. I found one where it says her supposed age was never relayed to him. And in hindsight the other articles or headlines are written in a way to suggest he knew rather than outright saying it. My mistake.
I never got the impression he thought she was 15.
Obviously that changes things if true.
Wasn't she drinking whiskey with him on camera?
Would he have allowed himself to be filmed drinking with a minor?
No that was my mistake mate. I think it was inappropriate and embarrassing anyway, even before they went to the bedroom he was acting like a creep imo,but there is a big difference between that and thinking she was 15.
The only part I found remotely funny was when they were in the toilet and she was trying to push the baby out.
Watched The Silencing recently, thought that it was fairly decent...
A solid 7/10 from me.
Yeah, with the lack of decent movies being released due to Covid, I've watched a fair few lower rated ones and a lot of them deserve higher ratings imo.
The Silencing is a good example.
