Should be a great game, if Shels win they get promoted if Drogheda win they put it last day of the season (if my math is correct)
And drogheda have the better goal difference. It would be some bottle job if shels don't win that division
We (Drogheda) should be miles behind them given their budget and players. It is because of our manager that we are so close. We had players missing in June because they were doing the Leaving Cert!! Tim Clancy has just signed a new 2 year deal (thank god). He has a young panel of players playing lovely football. However, we played Rovers in the cup a couple of weeks ago and the gulf in class is massive. If we go up, we would struggle. I still fancy Shels to go up automatically and then we would probably face Harps (again) in a play-off which would be difficult. That said, seeing sold out signs in United Park is strange. Perhaps I should put my tickets up for swap on the ticket thread. But I won't take any crap swaps. I want United or City at home if anyone wants to go to Drogheda tomorrow
de boez are not there yet Draw was as expected, the FAIlures would lose their shit if it was a Hoops v boez final as between us we would fill the place, showing up the poor attendances for the national senior games at times and showing joe public just how much the game could thrive if it was run at any kind of professional level. No confirmation as yet whether this will be the Friday or Sunday fixture.
I'd have gone to a Rovers Bohs final myself. Just as long as one of you beats Dundalk................!!!
de boez/Crumlin v Rovers confirmed for the Friday night 19:45 ko, shligeach v craptown on the Sunday at 17:00
Congrats to Shels on making it back up to the Prem, a long time down there, fair play to the body of fans who stuck with them since 2013, not an easy thing to keep going. craptown beat the drummers on pens in the League cup final then some little shitbags on both sides proceed to goad the each other and a few arses were kicked Rovers weren't involved so no massive outcry from the LOI 'Family'
Attendances were good this season overall, compared to other years. Division 1 is an awful hard place to get out of, but happy to be back in PD and the local away days that brings
That 14 year old lad came on for Bohs tonight. Something stinks there imo. You dont rush a 14 year old into first team football no matter how talented he is. That smacks of a club trying to build the profile and bump up the price of a player they know will be heading to England. 14 year old kids lack the experience to protect themselves at that level,I dont care how big or strong they are.
Really surprised that is allowed and I think it is totally wrong - no way a 14 year old should be allowed to play against adult players. In the GAA under age players are only allowed play 2 age groups above, so an under 14 player, could only play under 18 - they are not allowed play on adult teams.
Decent point for pats last night, big games coming up now Waterford home then back to back against Derry and bohs. 3 wins would see us leapfrog them into Europe a huge ask
My lad is 14 and 6'1". A very strong boy for his age. A LoI player would absolutely destroy him. I'm surprised by this. Evan's dad, Barry, had a fine LoI career and should know better.
First league of ireland game I watched in years.was a very good game and enjoyed it. Very good standard, Dundalk and shamrock rovers
Great win for Dundalk against Bradley's bottlers, next up hopefully de Boez take the rovvvvvvvvers down on friday
