Unbelievable player. Would like to see how he plays with Gomez beside him, maybe against Derby, would he take on the role of running the defence? Think it will be needed for after the World Cup.
He was so good. Upamecano was out with a flu apparently but is expected to be back for final. I'd be starting Konate regardless.
When Konate and Upamecano were at Leipzig, it was Upamecano that was the next big thing, and Konate was the guy that played alongside him. Really wanted us to try for Upamecano at the time and thought Bayern got a real gem while we took the leavings. Just proves (yet again) that our transfer boys and the boss know a hell of a lot more than I do because it certainly seems now that WE got the gem (not saying Upamecano is dross, hes clearly a very good player) Think Konate would be unlucky not to start the final after his performances so far, hes easily been their best CB
Just seen that, my god, what a terrible run of injuries we are having. Nat Phillips staying put i'd imagine. Seems to happen to him every transfer window where an injury stops him leaving.
He absolutely did! I'm a big fan and he seems a really good lad. I'd imagine he will want starting 1st team football and not be 4th/5th choice.
Thought he was brilliant today, need to keep in the team for the rest of the season. His physicality and pace was so badly needed.
